With just two weeks to go until the 97th Oscars awards, the world’s biggest stars are gearing up to find out whether they’ll be going home with trophies. But what we’re most curious about is what they’ll be eating on the night. Once again, celebrity chef Wolfgang Puck has been brought in to head up the culinary offering for the Oscars Governors Ball – AKA the official afterparty; here’s the lowdown on what the nominees will be served this year.
Oscars Menu 2025: All The Food And Drink Being Served At The Governors Ball
Who Is The Chef For The Oscars 2025?
Austrian chef Wolfgang Puck is spearheading the catering operation for this year’s Oscars, having held onto the prestigious gig for 30 years. Over the years, Puck has garnered a reputation as the go-to chef for A-listers. His LA restaurant Spago is frequented by everyone from Bradley Cooper to Taylor Swift and Tom Hanks, and he has catered for a string of high-profile weddings for the likes of Kim Kardashian and Paris Hilton. Puck also owns eateries all over the world, including one in London: CUT at 45 Park Lane, renowned for its impressive steak offering.

Helping Puck curate the menu this year is Vice President of Culinary and Partner at Wolfgang Puck Catering Eric Klein, with the dessert side being looked after by pastry chefs Kamel Guechida and Garry Larduinat.
What’s On The Oscars Menu For 2025?
During a recent appearance on Good Morning America, Puck revealed the details of the menu for the 97th Oscars Governors Ball, which will take place after the ceremony at the Ray Dolby Ballroom on the top level of Ovation Hollywood. Puck and his team will be cooking a mix of long-standing favourites and new dishes, including ‘traditional chicken pot pie, macaroni and cheese, and also some amazing inventive dishes [that] everybody’s gonna be excited about.’
First up, the catering team will pass round canapés including smoked salmon matzoh, miniature wagyu cheeseburgers, cauliflower toast, and Spago’s tuna tartare, alongside a selection of signature Puck pizzas, like BBQ chicken and four cheese margherita.
Small plates stations, meanwhile, will serve the famous truffle chicken pot pie (reportedly a favourite of Barbara Streisand) as well as mac ‘n’ cheese, caviar-topped ‘bougie tots’, pea agnolotti pasta, miso cod lettuce cup and popcorn shrimps.
Bringing a touch of Britain to the festivities is 45 Park Lane’s culinary director Elliott Grover, who has created three dishes for the occasion: classic toad in the hole, fish and chips, and beef wellington. Londoners will have a chance to try these at CUT from 14 February – 9 March 2025, alongside a specially crafted cocktail. ‘I am incredibly honoured to be bringing classic British dishes to the event for a third year with Wolfgang, especially celebrating his 31st year cooking for the awards,’ said Grover. ‘And to present the dishes here at 45 Park Lane from February will be sure to bring a taste of the night to London.’

Bowen Yang and Rachel Sennott host the announcement of the 97th Oscars® nominations, on Thursday, January 23, 2025.
It’s not all about the savoury stuff though: an extensive offering of sweet treats will also be available for the A-listers to enjoy. The patisserie menu includes tropical ‘Kit Kat’ bars made with passion fruit and dark chocolate, peach and elderflower marbled macarons, and strawberry and vanilla profiterole tart, alongside the standout Oscars Cookies, which see Oscar logos stamped on stollen cookies. If that’s not enough to satisfy the stars’ cravings, they can also build their own ice cream sundaes, tuck into Don Julio-infused chocolate cigars, or visit the Oscar Gold Spraying station to pick up some special chocolate.
With over 1,500 guests expected, cooking for the event is a huge operation – the catering team has ordered over 400 pounds of smoked salmon and 220 pounds of potatoes for the occasion.
Which Drinks Will Be Served?
Tequila brand Don Julio will be curating the drinks offering once again, with esteemed mixologist Charles Joly teaming up with the team from Mexico City bar Handshake Speakeasy to create an exclusive selection of cocktails. Concoctions this year include The Class Act, made with Tequila Don Julio 1942, The Clear Winner, which features Tequila Don Julio Reposado, and The Thespian, a non-alcoholic alternative.
For the third year running, wines will come from Clarendelle & Domaine Clarence Dillon, while Champagne Lallier will be making its Oscars debut as the official champagne of the Governors Ball.
