Another TikTok recipe? Yes, another TikTok recipe – and this time, we’re heading to Italy with this quick and easy pasta dish that you can pretty much cook in one pan. Here’s how to make the viral baked feta pasta recipe everyone’s been raving about online.

What Is It?

@feelgoodfoodie It’s been almost 2 years since baked feta pasta went viral and this recipe is now a part of our regular dinner rotation. In this version, I’m adding shrimp during the last 5 minutes of cook time to bulk it up with more protein #sogood ♬ original sound – Feel Good Foodie

Baked feta pasta is a one-pot dish that combines two main ingredients: feta and pasta. The sauce is created using the former, which is baked in the oven until it reaches a gooey, creamy texture. Variations of the recipe include combining feta with tomatoes and butternut squash, or even swapping out the feta for mozzarella, burrata or Boursin.

The recipe has been doing the rounds on TikTok, reaching its peak earlier this year but now making a comeback thanks to the cold weather and longer nights – with searches for #fetapasta surpassing 1.4 billion views on the platform.

Recipe: Baked Feta Pasta

We’ve scoured TikTok for some of the platform’s best baked feta pasta recipes and have collated them into the ultimate C&TH edition. Enjoy!

Serves 4

Ingredients

  • 1 block of feta
  • 1 butternut squash
  • 1 pack of cherry tomatoes
  • Olive oil
  • Seasoning – salt, pepper and Italian seasoning – 1 tsp each
  • 4 garlic cloves, crushed
  • Fresh basil, to serve
  • 4 servings of your past of choice

Method

  1. In a baking dish, mix the butternut squash and cherry tomatoes with a good glug of olive oil (around 4 tablespoons). Make a well in the middle of the dish for your feta, and then cover everything with your seasonings. Cook for 35 to 40 minutes, or until the butternut squash is soft.
  2. Remove the baking dish from the oven. To the dish, add the crushed garlic and fresh basil, and then stir everything together.
  3. Boil your pasta of choice to packet instructions, then drain the water so that only a small amount is left in the pan. Add the pasta to the baking dish and stir it into the feta mixture.
  4. Top with some more fresh basil, seasoning or chilli flakes, and you’re all set. We’d recommend eating this baked feta pasta with salad and garlic bread.
