London has put on a strong showing in the 2024 shortlist. The Mandrake’s South American-inspired bar Yopo has been nominated for Hotel – renowned for its vibrant tableau, striking artwork and eclectic furniture. Claridge’s new restaurant, meanwhile, is up for Standalone: a beautiful space featuring mosaic flooring, dramatic pendant lamps and Calacatta Viola marble.
Elsewhere, buzzy Mexican restaurant Ixchel has been nominated for multiple awards: Standalone, Murals, Surface Interior and Colour. Recently opened on the King’s Road, the eatery has a breezy Tulum feel about it, with terracotta tables, hand-woven artworks and foliage dotted around. Rooftop restaurant Brooklands by Claude Bosi at The Peninsula London received multiple nominations too: Hotel, Luxury and Ceiling.
The winners will be announced in a ceremony on 31 October 2024, taking place at The Hoxton in Barcelona.
