An All-You-Can-Eat Lasagna Restaurant Is Coming To London

Shoreditch is getting a new Italian
With its golden cheese topping and rich ragu sauce, lasagna is one of the most comforting dishes out there. But how much of it could you eat in one sitting? Well, you can put your pasta consumption skills to the test at Senza Fondo, a new Italian-American restaurant coming to east London. Its USP? A £20 all-you-can-eat lasagna offering.
Senza Fondo Will Open This February
Opening its doors this February in Shoreditch, Senza Fondo is the brainchild of Joe Worthington, who has years of experience in the hospitality industry, having worked on a string of luxury cruise ships and restaurants across Spain, Canada and Australia.
Chef Michael Bagnall will head up the kitchen, swerving the small plates concept and instead going big, focusing on New York-style Italian fare. The unlimited lasagna offering will be the star of the show, accompanied with stacks of mortadella with pistachio, designed to be served family-style. But that’s not all that’s on offer: the menu also includes fettuccine alfredo, a lasagna-style pizzette, aubergine parmigiana and grilled wing rib on the bone – plus off-menu dishes like burnt lasagna ends for the megafans.

Soon to come, too, is a lunchtime hatch which will serve the signature ‘lasagnawich’ (a lasagna/sandwich hybrid, we’re guessing).
On the drinks side, meanwhile, diners can enjoy a £5 house negroni, alongside other classic cocktails like martinis and margaritas, plus Italian spritzes and non-alcoholic alternatives.
Worthington’s aim is to create a vibrant, high-energy restaurant with a fun atmosphere. ‘It’s always been my dream to open my own restaurant,’ he says. ‘London’s restaurant scene is in a great place, but I’ve seen a gap for bigger plates and bigger energy. I believe there is truly nothing better than having dinner with friends, family or anyone in between, and my restaurant will be all about the people.’
