Deliciously regenerative award-winning cheese

If supporting British Farmers and increasing biodiversity whilst eating delicious, award-winning cheese is what you’re after, look no further. Deliciously Regenerative isn’t just Golden Hooves’ strapline, it’s at the core of everything they do. Driven by First Milk’s co-operative of 700 farmers, who will carry out a whopping 260,000 regenerative interventions on farms this year, Golden Hooves is working to protect the soil surface, lock carbon away, reverse biodiversity loss and treat animals with kindness. All farmers sign a pledge and are monitored using pioneering scientific research; this really is a brand that does what it says.

Highlights

  1. Winners of multiple Golds at the iconic British Cheese Awards, Virtual Cheese Awards and International Cheese & Dairy Awards.
  2. Golden Hooves’ farmers are custodians of the equivalent of 85,000 rugby pitches of land, containing 5,000km of hedgerows and 250,000 trees.
  3. The cows are grazed for 200 days per year on average.
  4. Golden Hooves and First Milk won the King's Award for Enterprise for Sustainable Development in 2023.
  5. Their farmers’ regenerative practices are on track to successfully lock away 100,000 tonnes of CO2 in the soil by 2025; equivalent to that of over 1.36 million oak trees.
