Dating back to the 1840s, this imposing Victorian villa is certainly packed full of history: it was previously owned by a string of famous figures including Michael Flatley, as well as the British socialite Lillie Langtry, mistress of the Prince of Wales. Here’s everything you need to know.

Built in the style of legendary architect John Nashe in the 1820s, this gorgeous property originally served as the home of British socialite and actress Lillie Langtry – and it was often visited by her beau, the Prince of Wales (who eventually became King Edward VII).

Fast forward to the 1990s and the Grade II listed building was bid on by a host of celebrities, from Madonna to Barbara Streisand. The winning buyer, however, was Lord of the Dance creator Michael Flatley, who made the property his first London home.

Stepping inside, you’ll spot elegant features like Roman arches, sash windows and a handsome stained glass window in the hallway. The dining room – which can comfortably seat up to 14 people – is complete with a stone fireplace and deep red silk wallpaper, while the drawing room features another fabulous fireplace and a set of French doors opening onto a raised terrace overlooking the garden.
