Will There Be A Good Girl’s Guide To Murder Season 2?

No news just yet from Netflix and the BBC on whether there will be a second season of A Good Girl’s Guide To Murder – but we think it’s quite likely. The first season is based on Holly Jackson’s novel of the same name, the first novel in a trilogy. It makes sense that two more seasons of the show would follow the first, and Jackson has expressed her desire to see the entire book series adapted for the screen. ‘I’ve been talking about it from the start, like, “Come on guys, we’ve got to make all of it”,’ Jackson said. ‘As ever with TV, it very much depends on turnout for season 1, if there’s enough of an appetite for it. We’re all very much hoping and praying.’

With A Good Girl’s Guide To Murder topping Netflix’s TV charts, it’s looking promising. The only spanner in the works would be lead star Emma Myers’ scheduling commitments for another Netflix show: Wednesday. Watch this space.

What Will Happen?

We have to assume that A Good Girl’s Guide To Murder season 2 would adapt the second novel in Holly Jackson’s trilogy, Good Girl, Bad Blood. The action picks up where the first book left off: in the aftermath of discovering the identity of Andie Bell’s murderer, Pip releases a true crime podcast with the help of Ravi. Naturally, it goes viral – but Pip insists her detective days are over.

But then another teenager goes missing – on the very same night Little Kilton hosts a memorial for the six year anniversary of the deaths of Andie and boyfriend Sal. But why aren’t the police interested in looking for Jamie Reynolds? If they won’t, Pip certainly will – and thus begins another investigation, uncovering even more secrets lying beneath the surface of Little Kilton. But this time, the whole town is listening…

Will There Be A Season 3?

If A Good Girl’s Guide To Murder season 2 gets the greenlight, we think it’s very likely that a third season will follow, based on Holly Jackson’s third and final book in the trilogy, As Good As Dead.
