The 2024 BRIT Awards were a dazzling affair, with  record-breaking wins for R&B artist RAYE and performances from the likes of Kylie Minogue. Read on for a recap.

Who Was Nominated?

Since their conception in 1977, the BRIT Awards have been shining a spotlight on emerging musical talent and celebrating success in the industry. The 2024 nominations recognised a huge range of artists and bands, from Olivia Dean and Fred again.. to Blur and Jungle.

International musicians like Billie Eilish and Miley Cyrus were also up for awards, and Dua Lipa performed at the ceremony. Perhaps the biggest news from the BRITs this year, however, was R&B artist RAYE’s record-breaking achievement: having stormed the charts in 2023 with her album My 21st Century Blues, she was nominated in seven different categories at the 2024 ceremony – the highest number of nominations for any artist in a single year – and she won a total of six awards on the night, plus the coveted Songwriter Of The Year award.
