Entry costs

One entry is £100 + VAT per entry. e.g. if you wanted to enter Female Founder and Fashion – Best Circularity Initiative, the cost would be £200 + VAT.  Please note, there is a discounted rate of £50 for businesses trading at less than £1 million annual turnover.

Payment for entry
By submitting an entry to the awards, you agree to pay for your £100 per entry. There is a discounted rate of £50 plus VAT per entry for businesses trading at less than £1 million annual turnover. Entries submitted by 11.59pm on Friday 2nd August will be accepted and can expect to be invoiced by Baillie Newman within 14 days.  Payment must be received within the payment terms of the invoice. The payment is calculated per entry, so if you enter more than one category you will be charged for each entry you make. All fees are non-refundable: Once you have submitted an entry to the Awards, we are unable to cancel or refund the payment.

Need To Know: Future Icons Awards Process

Stage 1

  • Choose which award you feel your product/service falls into from the list above.
  • You can either enter yourself, or you can nominate an exceptional individual or brand  (it doesn’t have to be someone from the same company as you).
  • The entry form will ask for some details about the nominee, so we can get in touch with them and ask them for further information about the business/initiative/campaign to confirm their entry into the awards.

OR

  • The entry form will ask for details about you, your brand (so we can get in touch), more information about your business/initiative/campaign and will also provide an opportunity to outline and backup why you believe you should win the chosen category.
  • Once you submit, you will receive a confirmation that your entry has been submitted and an invoice for payment will be sent to you from Baillie Newman. (Please contact [email protected] if you have not received your invoice from Baillie Newman within 48 hours of submitting your entry to ensure it is completed).

Stage 2

  • Once nominations have closed, the first round of judging will be completed by Country & Town House and our Sustainability Partners Cyd Connects, creating a shortlist for the next round of judging.
  • The shortlist will be passed onto our expert panel of guest judges who will collectively decide on each category’s winner.
  • The awards ceremony announcing the winners will be in London in November 2024 – details will be confirmed later.

During the judging process, the judges will consider:

  • Challenges faced and how they were tackled
  • Transparent communication without greenwashing
  • Social and environmental impact made over the past 12 months at a company, community and/or industry level
  • Business/brand size (to make fair judgement on the amount of impact made)
  • Documentation and quantifiable evidence to support entry
  • Overall quality of the submission

Entries

Please make sure you carefully read the description of the category (or categories) you wish to enter by visiting the categories and criteria page on the website before submitting your entry. 

Complete your chosen entry form and submit it online along with any supporting documents and appendices you wish to include, together with the images that have been requested. Make sure you keep to the word limit specified for each category entry (appendices are excluded from this count). Entries exceeding this word limit may be disregarded without refund of the fee at the discretion of the judges whose decision is final. We recommend completing your entry in a word document to save your progress before entering online.

All entries must be received by the closing date specified on the Awards website. If you have not received confirmation of receipt of your entry before that date, please contact us at the email address specified for submission of entries on the Awards website.

By submitting an entry, you or a company representative agree to be available to attend the awards on the date and location specified on the Country & Town House website. 

You also agree if you are shortlisted or win an award of any level, Country & Town House may publicise the fact, using your company logo, descriptions and imagery provided by you as part of the entry process, prior, at the event and after, online and/or in our relevant publications.

Judging

The Future Icon Awards entries are judged by a distinguished panel of industry  experts, hand-picked for their extensive knowledge and experience in their respective fields. 

All judging will be done collaboratively to provide a well-informed final decision. Please note judges will not be allocated to categories that they themselves or their company have entered into.

All judging is confidential, and judges will not share any confidential information with anyone.

The judging panel’s decision is final and binding, cannot be disputed and they will not provide any feedback to entrants.

Who can enter?

The Future Icons Awards are an opportunity to champion purpose-driven businesses and initiatives driving change to improve the impact businesses have on our people and planet within the 

I’m a small business, is it still possible for me to enter?

The Future Icon Awards creates a space for impactful, visionary and collaborative brands that are on the journey to making positive change, whether they are at the beginning or further along the way. We want to make the awards accessible to all and therefore offer a reduced fee of £50 for businesses trading at less than £1 million annual turnover.

How many categories can I enter?

You can enter your brand/company into multiple relevant categories. Brands and initiatives for most categories can have been launched at any time, however, please note that categories with any time boundaries will highlight this on the entry form.

Does my company have to be UK-based?

Your company does not need to be headquartered in the UK, but it does need to trade in the UK to be eligible to enter The Future Icon Awards.

What is the deadline for entry submission?

All entries will close on Wednesday 24 July.

When will the shortlist be announced?

You will receive an email to let you know if you have been shortlisted by 19 August.

What sort of information will you ask to be provided?

We will need a range of information:

  • What makes you unique?
  • How  do you track your brand’s social and/or environmental initiatives?
  • Information on any previous awards won
  • Certifications/Accreditations such as B Corp, cruelty-free, living wage etc
  • Documents to support proof of Supply chain transparency efforts including Policies and Supplier Codes of Conduct
  • Any relevant press releases, impact reports or supporting documents
  • Evidence of transparent communications and advocacy against greenwashing

When will judging take place?

The initial screening of entrants will take place shortly after submission closes. Final Judging will take place just before the awards ceremony. 

How much are the awards ceremony tickets?

The awards ceremony is a sponsored event and is by invitation only. 1 person from each brand / company  from the awards winners and nominated runners up will be sent an invitation for a complimentary ticket to the event.

When will awards ceremony invitations be sent?

We can’t wait to celebrate with our winners and runners up in November. Once the shortlist has been determined, invites to the event will be sent. 

Can I use the award logo if I win?

Yes, since we charged an entry fee, the usage of the logo does not require any additional fees.  If you win one of our awards, we will provide brand usage guidelines to support the announcement of your award win.

How will my information be used?

The personal information provided will be used so we can keep in touch with you throughout the awards process. Please review our privacy policy here for further information.
