The boutique music event returns this July
The UK’s only black-tie music event, Henley Festival has revealed its 2024 line-up, with Nicole Scherzinger, Dave Stewart’s Eurythmics Songbook and Sam Ryder all set to headline.
Returning from 10 – 14 July 2024, the unique festival is set on the banks of the River Thames, offering a mix of music spanning folk, jazz, pop, world and classical. Alongside this guests can enjoy comedy, art and sculpture, plus top-class dining and a standout firework display.
Nicole Scherzinger will open the festival on the Floating Stage, fresh from her stage role as Norma Desmond in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s musical Sunset Boulevard. Seven-time Grammy Award winner Gladys Knight will perform on the Friday, marking the last show of her UK Farewell Tour, as well as presenter, DJ and former X Factor contestant Rylan.
Sam Ryder, who soared to fame on Eurovision, will be closing the festival, playing songs from his hit album ‘There’s Nothing But Space, Man!’.
The music line-up will also include Ministry of Sound Ibiza Anthems with Ellie Sax, House Gospel Choir and violinist Nigel Kennedy, alongside comedy from the likes of Mark Watson, Angela Barnes, Dara O Briain and Sara Pascoe.
Henley Festival was founded over 40 years ago as a charity, designed to support the next generation of talent. In 2022, the festival launched its new charitable initiative RISE, which focuses on spotlighting up-and-coming musicians and artists. This year’s RISE line-up is set to impress once again, with names including pop and classical artist Alex Francis, Plymouth-based jazz and soul vocalist Louise Parker, and young Ukrainian artist The Multiverse. This year will also mark the launch of the inaugural Westcoat RISING Star Award, which has been granted to singer songwriter KATYA.
‘RISE is rapidly becoming the beating heart of Henley Festival and is at the core of everything we do,’ says Jo Bausor, CEO of Henley Festival. ‘We’re delighted to be able to expand our RISE programme in 2024 to provide more paid opportunities for young emerging talent to perform, exhibit or complete work placements.’
