How will you be ringing in 2024? Dancing on a rooftop? Catching a fireworks display? Ice-skating against the backdrop of an iconic building? Sipping cocktails in a secret speakeasy? The choices are endless in London, one of the best places in the world to spend New Year’s Eve. An eclectic mix of parties are taking place across the capital’s jazziest venues this here. Here’s the C&TH pick of London’s best NYE parties to book this year.

London’s Best NYE Parties 2023

Bar des Prés, Mayfair

Party in decadent style this NYE at Mayfair’s chic and intimate Bar des Prés. For one night only, Cyril Lignac’s restaurant will be transformed into an Art Deco, Great Gatsby-inspired wonderland, elevating the elegant, sultry interiors even further with gilded decorations, champagne towers and ostrich feather centrepieces. Embrace the glitz and glamour by tucking into the finest Franco-East Asian food Mayfair has to offer: two sittings are available, commencing at 6.30pm and 8.30pm and featuring mouthwatering dishes such as Crispy Tarama & Caviar, a crunchy Mushroom Galette and Grilled Scallops with tart yuzu creme and Lapsoung souchong tea sauce. But before all that, sip on your welcome glass of Ruinart. Guests are encouraged to dress to the nines with tuxedos, flapper dresses, fringe, feathers and sequins hallmarks of the era. DJs will keep the party moving from 10pm to 2am, plus saxophonists will serenade guests into 2024.

If you’ve ever been to a party at Home House, you’ll know that there’s nowhere in the capital quite like it for letting your hair down. And this year is set to be the wildest yet, as the members’ club celebrates its 25th anniversary in style. The New Year’s Eve 25th Anniversary Ball on Sunday 31 December marks the culmination of a year of celebrations, and is set to be huge. Guests will enjoy a meticulously crafted special menu and live performances throughout the evening, with plenty of surprises to be expected throughout. There will be roaming artists, live music and resident DJs to see you through the midnight hour (and likely well beyond). With festivities across both houses, champagne flowing, multiple rooms and spaces to explore, it’s the perfect place to see in 2024.

JOIA's NYE party

JOIA, the restaurant and bar from Portuguese chef Henrique Sá Pessoa, will be rounding off its first year in style: with an unforgettable NYE party. Set across the 14th and 15th floors of the art’otel Battersea Power Station, guests can expect an evening packed with feasting, drinking and dancing, soundtracked by JOIA’s resident DJs. For those looking to dine, there is a set menu beginning at 6pm, featuring a complimentary glass of bubbles on arrival plus dishes such as Seabass tartare with green olives and grapes; Suckling pig belly with black pepper juice and pickled shallots; Roast piri piri cabbage and Chocolate orange mousse and olive oil to finish.

Or opt for the 8pm sitting for a six-course set menu featuring Hand dived scallops with black aioli sabayon; Grilled leeks with romesco, rockets and hazelnuts; Aged Salamancan Black Angus forerib; Wild mushroom escabeche with egg yolk and aioli, and of course Patatas bravas. From 9pm, celebratory cocktails and canapes kick off in JOIA Bar, and it’s up to the rooftop at 11.30pm ready for fireworks once the clock strikes midnight.

Kindred's new year's eve party

Kindred, Hammersmith

Dust of your dancing shoes and head to Hammersmith for Kindred’s big end-of-year bash. A beautifully restored, Grade II-Listed coworking space, restaurant, bar and cultural events venue, two floors will host a huge party to usher in 2024, featuring live music, DJ sets, a casino and a not-so-secret speakeasy. Tuck into a special NYE feast at Cellar at Kindred – with delicious dishes spanning crispy duck leg bonbons, Berkshire pork chop, and rich chocolate and clementine fondant – before heading upstairs ready to party.

Arcade Food Hall - Battersea power station new restaurant opening in 2023

Arcade, Battersea

London’s buzzy Battersea Arcade Food Hall is bidding farewell to 2023 with a blowout bash, welcoming legendary London DJs Krafty Kuts, The Nextmen and more DJs represented by  Finger Lickin’ Records to hit the decks with a night of disco anthems. The party starts at 9pm, with food from 13 different international cuisines available to tuck into meanwhile.

If you miss out on Battersea tickets or fancy something more central, head to Arcade’s Tottenham Court Road venue which has been transported into an Alps-style wonderland complet with shot skis, mulled wine and fondue burgers. Best of all, no tickets are required.

Bōkan, Canary Wharf

Is this London’s highest NYE party? Ring in 2024 sky high in glittering Canary Wharf, where an indulgent tasting menu, delightful champagne, live entertainment and some of London’s best panoramic views are ready and waiting for you? Bōkan will invite diners from 6pm, tucking into a six-course menu featuring chestnut soup with winter truffle; ora king salmon sushi with a dashi broth; organic Cappone supreme with baby carrots and onion; and venison with queen pear & ginger spices. But you don’t have to leave when you’re done; instead, head up to the roof terrace bar on floor 39 to watch the fireworks light up the city. Or come a little later at 8pm for The Premium Package, which includes a bottle of Taittinger Prélude, followed by a luxury grazing platter featuring lobster, ribeye steak and Sturia caviar, along with a guaranteed window seat of the fireworks until 2:30am.

Looking for a NYE party with luxurious mid-Atlantic flair? An intimate and glamorous end of year evening will take place in The Beaumont Hotel’s delicious restaurant, The Colony Grill Room with an à la carte menu served from Head Chef Ben Boeynaems. Choose from a selection of dishes such as Hereford steak tartare, Shrimp cocktail or Colony fried chicken to start, followed by the likes of Monkfish Wellington, South coast dover sole meunière or a selection of grills. For dessert, dishes include The Colony bespoke sundae, Chocolate semifreddo with hazelnut ice cream and hot chocolate sauce, and Bananas foster spiced rum ginger cake, served tableside for an added sense of theatre.

Guests seated after 9pm will enjoy magical entertainment during dinner and a glass of Champagne at midnight, when a lone piper will pipe in the bells for the new year. Then head to the intimate Le Magritte Bar to end the evening (and begin 2024) with a signature cocktail.

Whether opting for dining, dancing or a combination of the two, New Year’s Eve at The Carlton Tower Jumeirah is all about you. Begin with an indulgent set menu at the hotel’s flagship Italian restaurant, Al Mare, where you can tuck into the likes of sauté razor clam with porcini mushrooms, winter cod salad, artichoke risotto with cuttlefish and black ink, and seared tuna belly rounding off with a Mont Blanc dessert. Commencing the evening with a level of luxury, a live jazz quartet will accompany dinner, and guests will sip on limited edition cocktails.

Then, guests are invited to head to the The Peak Members’ Club, which boasts one of London’s most showstopping views of the city’s skyline. Transformed into a sophisticated and futuristic silver sensation for the season, expect a night of glittering memories overlooking London. Plus, classic party vibes will accompany the DJs, including a vintage photo booth, free flowing canapés and drinks throughout the night, and silver confetti at midnight.

The House of KOKO

KOKO Electronic NYE, Camden

Following a £70m restoration, Camden hotspot KOKO is back with a bang. Housed in a historic Grade II listed Victorian theatre, the venue is renowned for its live music and club events. Its New Year’s Eve party is set to be a big one, hosted by Horse Meat Disco with a special line-up of guests TBA. One for the hardcore partiers, it goes on until 5am.

Natural History Museum

Ring in 2023 beside dinosaurs at the Natural History Museum, which is hosts one of London’s best NYE parties – and certainly its most unique. This year’s New Year’s Eve fiesta sits under the theme ‘The Four Elements’. Expect live music, a silent disco, Jurassic-themed performers, musical bingo and access to selected galleries after dark – plus plenty of drinks and nibbles. Jurassic disco fancy dress (niche, but we love it) is encouraged and there will be a prize for the best dressed.

Plus, new for 2023 is a special VIP area, offering guests an exclusive area with a private bar, entertainment, a complimentary drink and more.

Aqua Shard

Ring in the New Year with a front row seat to the fireworks. Sky high Aqua Shard has some of London’s most spectacular city views, and a three course menu has been designed especially for the occasion, beginning with handpicked Cornish crab with radish, lime, Oscietra Caviar and a lemongrass infused bisque. For mains, English Wagyu Sirloin will be served with potato fondant, cavolo Nero and red wine jus. For desert, a chocolate sphere will be served with feuilletine, pistachio and amaretto ice cream. Opt for the wine pairing to see out 2023 in decadent style, with a live band and DJ spinning the party into 2024.
