Place2Be’s Star-Studded Christmas Carol Concert 2022
Mulled wine and mince pies, with a side of festive carols – what more could you want? Add Paloma Faith, Jamie Cullum, Sophia Dahl and David Walliams into the mix, and you’ve got yourself a star-studded, festive affair.
Returning to Holy Trinity Square Church in London on 1 December is Place2Be’s annual Christmas Carol Concert, kicking off the festive season in style. And, for the third year running, the concert will be available to stream, featuring live polls and interaction from the comfort of your own home.
Katie Thistleton – BBC broadcaster, journalist and Place2Be Ambassador – is set to host, with mezzo-soprano Laura Wright leading the carols, along with the Holy Trinity Church Choir and children from Sacred Heart Primary school (one of Place2Be’s partner schools).
Also taking to the stage will be Ivor Novello award-winning musician, Jamie Cullum, as well as comedian and children’s author David Walliams with a special Christmas reading, and Game of Thrones star and Place2Be Champion, Jacob Anderson.
This year’s Christmas Carol Concert is sponsored by Cadogan, Marshall Wace, Verve Concepts, Galliard, Astrea Asset Management, The Knightsbridge Estate, and Devlin McGregor.
Place2Be is a leading children’s mental health charity that supports 450 UK primary and secondary schools (approximately 250,000 children), raising awareness of and helping to improve the emotional wellbeing of children, families, teachers and school staff via school based support and in-depth training programmes. All proceeds raised by the event will directly fund these vital services – in 2021, the carol concert raised over £50,000.
Ahead of the event, Place2Be are also hosting a festive prize draw – tickets cost £10, with all proceeds also going to support young people’s mental health. Enter here for your chance to win a Boodles Love Letter Pendant, a Queen Elizabeth II framed painting by Pip Todd-Warmoth, a Briggs & Riley Monogrammed luggage set, and much more.
