If there’s one thing Londoners love, it’s a private members’ club. Whether you’re after an ultra-luxe institution, a women-only space or a handy co-working spot, you’re certainly spoilt for choice in the capital – especially after the announcement of a new Soho House spot in Mayfair. But what’s the story behind the club, and when will it open? Here’s everything you need to know.

There are private members’ clubs, and then there’s Soho House – a private members’ club which seems to add another level of cool to the concept. From the Shoreditch and White City branches to the particularly Instagram-famous Soho Farmhouse in Oxfordshire, these clubs position themselves as the epitome of chic, contemporary luxury.
Recently, however, many Soho House members have been complaining about overcrowding in London venues. In an effort to resolve these issues, the brand announced in January that it would not be taking on any new members for the time being – and now it is set to open a brand new venue in Mayfair. The site has just been approved by Westminster council, so Soho House members could be strolling into a brand new club in no time.
Where Is Soho House’s New Club?
The new venue is located in Lancashire Square, Mayfair. The building previously housed the brasserie Hush, which closed in 2023 after a 24-year tenure.
The Mayfair club is set to have a capacity of around 170 people, with all of the dazzling amenities usually provided by the Soho House brand. However, the site will be subject to shorter opening hours than its other venues: the Mayfair club will close at 1:30am, while other Soho House locations like Greek Street are open until 3am.
When Will It Open?
Since plans have only just been announced, there’s no official opening date just yet – watch this space.
