Who Is Hosting The Euros 2024?

Germany is hosting the 2024 Euros, and all matches will be played across 10 of the nation’s venues, with the final at the Olympiastadion Berlin. The venues are:

  1. Olympiastadion Berlin (71,000 capacity)
  2. Cologne Stadium (43,000 capacity)
  3. BVB Stadion Dortmund (62,000 capacity)
  4. Düsseldorf Arena (47,000 capacity)
  5. Frankfurt Arena (47,000 capacity)
  6. Arena AufSchalke, Gelsenkirchen (50,000 capacity)
  7. Volksparkstadion Hamburg (49,000 capacity)
  8. Leipzig Stadium (40,000 capacity)
  9. Munich Football Arena (66,000 capacity)
  10. Stuttgart Arena (51,000 capacity)

The location of matches is not random: as part of UEFA’s efforts to improve the sustainability of football, venues and matches have been carefully organised in regional clusters, reducing the number of flights taken by teams by 75 percent compared to 2016’s Euros.

When Are The Euros 2024?

The UEFA European Football Championship begins on Friday 14 June 2024, with the final scheduled for Sunday 14 July.

  • Group B: Spain, Croatia, Italy, Albania
  • Group C: Slovenia, Denmark, Serbia, England
  • Group D: Poland, Netherlands, Austria, France
  • Group E: Belgium, Slovakia, Romania, Ukraine
  • Group F: Türkiye, Georgia, Portugal, Czechia

Who Made It Through The Group Stage?

The following teams have made it to the Round of 16:

  • Group A: Germany & Switzerland

  • Group E: Belgium, Slovakia & Romania

Eight matches will now determine who makes it to the quarter finals, the semi-finals, and then the final.

England’s Fixtures

England fan? Now we’ve made it through the Group Stage, the next fixture is against Slovakia and kicks off at 6pm on Sunday 30 June in Gelsenkirchen (Veltins Arena).

If we win, we will then play either Switzerland or Italy (whichever team wins Match 1) in the Quarter Finals at 5pm on 6 July.

If we win again, we will proceed to the Semi-Finals, where we will play the winner of the fourth quarter final – at this stage, that could be any of Romania, Netherlands, Austria or Turkey.

If we win again, we will play in the Final, which kicks off at 8pm on 14 July 2024.

Are The Euros On TV?

Yes, the BBC and ITV will share broadcasting rights throughout the Euros, so each match will be available on one or the other, with the final available on both.

  • 30 June 2024: England V Slovakia, broadcast on ITV; kick off at 5pm
  • 5 & 6 July: All four quarter finals broadcast on BBC One hosted by MOTD Live, from 4.30pm both evenings (kick off at 5pm)
  • 9 & 10 July: Semi-finals broadcast on ITV
  • 14 July: Euros final broadcast simultaneously on BBC and ITV
