Mix it up this Christmas
While a traditional turkey roast is synonymous with Christmas in the UK, not all countries celebrate this way. And around London, there are an abundance of restaurants proving other foods can be festive too, from pizza and seafood platters tapas-style feasts. We bring you our pick of the best alternative Christmas menus the capital has to offer.
Best Alternative Christmas Menus in London
Yard Sale Pizza
No dodgy toppings here: foodie favourite Yard Sale pizza has collaborated with Mons Cheese Shop in East Dulwich to come up with the ultimate Christmas pizza. The ‘2020 Meltdown’ is topped with not one but five different cheeses: Fior di Latte mozzarella, Raclette Lait Cru, Tomme Chambrouze, L’Etivaz and 18-23 month-aged ComtĂ©. Accompanying the pizza is a specially made jalepeno chilli jam dip from London-based preserve brand Single Variety Co. While the pizza originates in Dulwich, the 2020 Meltdown is available from every Yard Sale pizza shop across the capital until the end of January. What’s more, ÂŁ1 from every pizza sold will be donated to The Trussell Trust, which supports a network of foodbanks across the country and provides emergency food to those in poverty.
