Top chefs from all over the country will be cooking at L’Epicerie
As London hotels go, it doesn’t get much more legendary than Claridge’s, Mayfair’s sparkling grand dame. And now a string of top British chefs will get the chance to cook there, thanks to a new supper club series running in partnership with restaurant bible The Good Food Guide.
Claridge’s Kitchen Supper Series Launches This September
Launching this September, the exclusive dinners will see chefs from the guide taking over the Claridge’s kitchen for one night only. Kicking off the series on 25 September will be Simon Attridge, Culinary Director at Claridge’s, ahead of a line-up of foodie stars from all over the country.
Guest chefs will include Gareth Ward of Ynyshir, which was just voted the best restaurant in Wales; Roberta Hall-McCarron, founder of The Little Chartroom in Edinburgh; and Elly Wentworth, who heads up The Angel in Dartmouth, among others. Lucky diners will be invited to pull up a seat at the hotel’s chef’s table, L’Epicerie, with just 14 spaces per night. Prices for each event will vary, but the Attridge and Ward dinners will cost £475 per person.
‘The L’Epicerie is at the beating heart of the kitchen here at Claridge’s and we are proud to introduce these suppers to showcase the best of culinary talent across the UK,’ said Attridge. ‘Working alongside the distinguished network of The Good Food Guide, we look forward to exploring alternative and innovative menus and produce, whilst of course celebrating the timeless tradition of the hotel.’
Claridge’s has always been known for its culinary offering. The hotel’s restaurants have been through various guises over the years, but nowadays it’s home to the recently revamped Claridge’s Restaurant, alongside the historic Foyer & Reading Room. L’Epicerie opened in 2021, nestled within its hallowed kitchens.
