The festival's September edition coincides with Zero Waste Week
Summer may be almost over, but not before one last hurrah at Cocktails in the City, London’s largest garden party. The drinks festival is returning to Bedford Square Garden from 5 – 7 September, bringing pop-ups from some of the capital’s top bars together for a weekend of masterclasses, live entertainment and of course plenty of cocktails.
Cocktails in the City: September Edition Highlights
This year, the line-up includes hotspots like Laki Kane, Hoxton Hotel, Dover Yard, Gaucho, TT Liquor and Hutong. The 2024 finale will have a ‘Newstalgia’ focus, bringing back throwback drinks trends with modern twists. Laki Kane bar owner Georgi Radev, for instance, will be reliving his time as manager of celebrity hotspot Mahiki by bringing back the relaunched Mahiki Rum.
But that’s not all: the September edition will also coincide with Zero Waste Week, so this will inspire themes throughout. Dover Yard, the cocktail bar at 1 Hotel Mayfair, will be running a special B-Corp Bar, mixing drinks with certified brands like Bruichladdich and The Botanist, featuring ingredients like repurposed gooseberry cordial and lime sour mash.
Elsewhere, festival goers can tap into hands-on drinks experiences. Blend your own bourbon at Odyssey, a soon to open specialist Bourbon bar, take part in an ice carving workshop with Sapporo Beer, and enjoy caviar and cocktail pairings with Caviar House and Margot Robbie’s new Papa Salt Gin. Plus, enjoy live music from The Piano Works alongside an array of street food stalls.
Cocktails in the City has been hosting drinks events for over a decade. The festival’s summer series runs across three weekend-long events, each with different themes, but all offering a lively atmoshpere.
