11 London Spots Crowned Winners In The Deliveroo Restaurant Awards 2024

We all have our favourite Deliveroo order, but which are the most popular takeaways across the country? The Deliveroo Restaurant Awards 2024 have been announced, with 11 London eateries beating off competition from across the UK to take home trophies.

The Deliveroo Restaurant Awards 2024: Who Won?

This year’s winners include Peckham hotspot White Men Can’t Jerk, a jerk chicken and Caribbean fusion restaurant which has been voted Independent Restaurant of the Year in Greater London.

Beloved US import Eggslut, meanwhile, has been awarded Best Breakfast and Coffee in Greater London, while KOI Ramen has been named Best Japanese. Kricket, the buzzy Indian restaurant with outposts in Soho, Brixton and White City, has won Best Indian & Nepalese in Greater London, alongside ULI as Best Chinese. And London’s best pizza, according to Deliveroo users? BONA Sourdough, a sourdough pizzeria in Forest Hill.

Co-founders of White Men Can’t Jerk, Steven Byrne and Dave Olszak, said: ‘To have won Independent Restaurant of the Year Greater London 2024 against such stiff competition is truly humbling. We’ve been proudly serving our jerk chicken to the communities of South London since 2017, and we would not be here without the support of our customers and partners like Deliveroo.’

The awards aim to spotlight the most loved independent restaurants from across the UK and Ireland. The winners are determined by Deliveroo users, with over 66,000 votes cast over a two-week period.

The overall Independent Restaurant of the Year award went to Yeeros, a Greek restaurant in Dublin, while Luxford Burgers in Edinburgh scooped up Independent Restaurant of the Year in Scotland. American-inspired comfort food spot Shake Shack was voted Most Sustainable Restaurant, while Happy Mondays in Northampton got the Beating Heart of the Community Award.
