Enjoy a petit plaisir, Emily-style

Already devoured the first drop of Emily In Paris season four? Fear not: while you await the second part, you can get your fix at French restaurant Pavyllon London, which has just launched an afternoon tea inspired by the hit Netflix show.

Pavyllon London’s Emily In Paris-Inspired Afternoon Tea

We all know Paris is a dreamland for patisserie lovers, and this experience will channel the city’s cafe scene with an array of sweet and savoury treats. It takes place in the elegant lounge of Yannick Alléno’s Michelin-starred restaurant Pavyllon – housed within Four Seasons Hotel at London Park Lane, one of Mayfair’s grande dames.

Kick things off with some finger sandwiches, including cucumber and whipped feta, and smoked salmon and cream cheese, before getting stuck into the main event: an impressive spread of French pastries. Think mini chocolate eclairs, crème brulée, tarte au citron and pistachio financiers – plus the cherry on the cake: a special beret-shaped dessert to take home. Enjoy alongside your choice of tea from the hotel’s extensive selection, or toast to Emily, Mindy and the gang with a glass of Moët & Chandon (not Champère, sadly).

There are nods to the series throughout: the menu is presented on a specially designed script, and there’s Emily In Paris trivia recalling standout moments from the show. Magnifiqué.

Since opening last summer, Pavyllon has garnered critical acclaim for its unique style of fine dining. With 16 Michelin stars to his name, Alléno is one of the world’s most celebrated chefs – renowned for his boundary-pushing, modern approach to French cuisine, which involves all sorts of innovative culinary wizardry, including his signature Extractions® technique. The restaurant has a beautiful aesthetic too, with glass chandeliers, a blue and grey colour palette and soft, rounded furniture.
