A whole host of London restaurants are celebrating their new starry status today, following last night’s 2024 Michelin Guide ceremony. Held at the Midland Hotel in Manchester, the event marked the 50th anniversary of the guide, which sees restaurants across the world rewarded for their culinary excellence. It was a great night for London, with 15 wins overall: 10 new one star restaurants, three new two stars, and one new three star. Find all of London’s new Michelin-starred restaurants below.

Mountain, Soho

Tomos Parry’s Soho restaurant Mountain has developed cult status since opening in 2023, focusing on live-fire, Basque-style cooking. And now, less than a year in, it has joined its sister restaurant Brat in holding a Michelin star. 16-18 Beak St, London W1F 9RD, mountainbeakstreet.com

1890 at The Savoy, The Strand

The Savoy is no stranger to Michelin stars – and now it has one more. Gordon Ramsay’s 1890 at The Savoy gained one star in the 2024 guide, lauded for its modern French tasting menu, inspired by dishes first created by Georges Auguste Escoffier at the hotel many years ago. HUMO, Mayfair

One of Mayfair’s hottest recent launches, HUMO uses no electricity or gas, instead cooking on a wood-fired grill, with a menu split into four categories: Ignite, Smoke, Flame and Embers. Akoko, Fitzrovia

Aji Akokomi’s Fitzrovia restaurant Akoko has soared to new heights following the arrival of executive chef Ayo Adeyemi in 2022. Chishuru, Fitzrovia

Self-taught Nigerian chef Adejoké ‘Joké’ Bakare rose to fame after winning a local cooking competition, going on to open her own restaurant in Brixton, Chishuru. Humble Chicken, Soho

Despite its name, there is nothing humble about Angelo Sato’s esteemed Soho restaurant, which underwent something of a revamp last year. Ormer Mayfair

Ormer Mayfair, the restaurant within five-star hotel Flemings Mayfair, has been on the up ever since chef Sofian Msetfi took over in 2021, and now it has become one of London’s newest Michelin-starred restaurants. It was only a matter of time before Simon Rogan’s Soho chef’s table, Aulis, joined the Michelin-starred club. Dorian, Notting Hill

Notting Hill is one of the capital’s buzziest food districts these days, thanks to a string of exciting newbies arriving in the neighbourhood over the past couple of years. Yannick Alléno is no stranger to Michelin stars, with 16 of his restaurants around the world holding the accolade – making him one of the world’s starriest chefs. Shinji Kanesaka’s 13-seat omakase restaurant Sushi Kanesaka has been making waves since arriving at 45 Park Lane, offering an extravagant 20-course menu. Trivet, Bermondsey

‘Here is a restaurant that just seems to get everything right’, says Michelin of Trivet, the Bermondsey eatery spearheaded by chef Jonny Lake and sommelier Isa Bal, both formerly at The Fat Duck. Less than a year after opening, Claude Bosi’s Brooklands has secured two Michelin stars. The Ledbury, Notting Hill

Brett Graham’s The Ledbury is widely viewed as one of London’s top restaurants – something confirmed by Michelin, who has just awarded the venue with a third star.
