What Is Marry Me Ramen?
Following in the footsteps of the ‘marry me’ recipe fad, Marry Me Ramen is a one-pan dish that combines the Italian influence of Marry Me Chicken with the rich, earthy flavours of Asian ramen. It’s a hybrid, fusion-led meal that’s big on flavour – and it might just surprise you how well these flavours go together.
@myriadrecipes MARRY ME CHICKEN RAMEN 🍜 so good 😮💨 You are going to want to give this slurpy slurp a goooo! It’s so delicious and very simple to make! The recipe, which was made popular on video sharing platform TikTok, was first hashed by foodie content creator and recipe developer Emily Roz (@myriadrecipes). ‘It’s the ultimate comfort food,’ she says on her website. ‘I love finding new ways of combining flavours, textures, and ingredients, and this marriage between the creamy flavourful chicken recipe and soupy ramen is a match made in heaven.’
It’s not surprising to see this recipe slowly creep into ‘viral’ territory, since mashup meals are set to become one of the biggest food trends of 2024. But rather than burger quesadillas or pasta-topped pizza, we’re ready for a harmony of contrasts. Cue, Marry Me Ramen.

Makes two servings
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 chicken breasts (substitute for tofu, portobello mushrooms or another plant-based alternative if needed)
- 50g all purpose flour
- 3 garlic cloves minced
- 8 sun-dried tomatoes sliced
- 1/2 tablespoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 tablespoon oregano
- 1/2 tablespoon chilli flakes
- 600ml chicken stock
- 300ml single cream
- 2 tablespoon grated parmesan plus extra for garnish
- 1/2 teaspoon ground pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon flaky salt
- 1/2 teaspoon sugar
- 200g ramen noodles
For the toppings (you can pick and choose or add new toppings, if you prefer)
- Coriander
- Beansprouts
- Edamame beans
- Spring onion
- Chilli oil
Method
- Prepare the chicken: Start with your chicken; pour the flour onto a plate and use it as a base to coat your chicken. Heat up oil in a saucepan on medium heat, then add fry the chicken on each side until golden. Remove the chicken from the pan.
- Make the sauce: Using the same saucepan, fry chopped garlic, un-dried tomatoes, paprika, chilli flakes and oregano for a few minutes. Add 300ml chicken stock and the single cream, then mix it all together. Grate parmesan into the sauce.
- Cook the chicken: Put the chicken back into the pan and cook for five minutes with the lid on, then remove again and slice.
- Add your noodles: Season the broth to taste, then add in the remaining 300ml chicken and the ramen noodles. Cook the noodles according to packet instructions and stir frequently.
- Build your ramen: Ladle the broth and ramen into bowls, and top with the chicken and your chosen toppings.
