Stateside-inspired feasts for 28 November

Thanksgiving is the perfect opportunity to catch up with friends and family and eat lots of food (two of life’s greatest joys). Celebrated annually on the fourth Thursday in November, it falls on 28 November in 2024, and although festivities are particularly big in America, you can get involved wherever you are in the world. Many of London’s restaurants are offering special menus for the occasion, featuring an abundance of US-inspired fare designed for sharing. Here’s where to celebrate Thanksgiving in London this year (and if you’re staying in, here are some recipe ideas).

Thanksgiving Menus In London

Terrace at Dovetale

Dovetale

Spend Thanksgiving at Dovetale, the cosy winter terrace nestled in the courtyard of 1 Hotel Mayfair. The festive menu includes all the classics with a Dovetale twist: begin with roast pumpkin soup with warm glazed cornbread, followed by roast bronze turkey served alongside all the trimmings. For dessert, there’s a sharing apple pie served with pecan pie ice cream. Tara Ozols, the hotel’s US-born wine director, has curated a menu of American wine pairings to enjoy with the meal.
