The sorbet trend is guaranteed to bring some sunshine into your home
Pastels? For spring? It’s no surprise that these delicate hues are about to dominate the interiors space as winter finally recedes, but this year there’s a twist on the trend. Here’s why ‘sorbet shades’ are set to be so popular for spring 2025.
A Guide To ‘Sorbet Shades’, Spring’s Biggest Interiors Trend
While pastel colours are always a staple when it comes to spring interiors, this year we’re seeing a more niche trend emerge: sorbet shades. Ranging from pistachio (a pale, creamy green) to raspberry (a dusky pink) and lemon (a riff on the butter yellow craze), these shades form one of the most popular palettes we can expect to see as the weather warms up and the sun (finally) makes an appearance.
‘For spring 2025, we’re seeing a move towards personality-driven interiors, and meaning that homeowners will embrace colour, nostalgia and playful design,’ explains Emma Cowley, marketing manager at Rangemaster. ‘Pastel hues are making a strong return, offering a fresh yet timeless appeal that feels both uplifting and inviting. Soft sorbet shades like mint and pale pink are particularly popular.’
So, how exactly do you style sorbet shades? Here’s the rundown.
Raspberry Pink
Doesn’t the soft pink of a raspberry sorbet simply scream spring? Plus, it perfectly complements both other pastels and more saturated colours like forest green or mustard yellow.
From lush pink cushions, throws and ottomans to whimsical accent walls, there’s always a way to incorporate this timeless shade into your space. The real winner, however? Raspberry sorbet-inspired kitchen cabinets. Thank us later…
Lemon Yellow
By now, the butter yellow trend just might have won you over – so you’ll be pleased to know that lemon sorbet is a remarkably similar shade. It’s best when styled alongside crisp white, baby blue or even a muted green like pistachio. Yet while butter yellow is a classic pastel, lemon can be more vivid – making it the perfect colour for the sunny season.
Pistachio Green
This delectable hue was a big hit last year, and it’s not going anywhere – especially since earthy tones are one of 2025’s biggest colour trends. Shades like pistachio and mint can also be swapped out for classic neutrals like creams and beiges to create a more complex colour palette, adding sophistication and plenty of visual interest to a space.
For a refreshing spring take, pair pistachio with dusky blue, pale pink, and even lilac. This would work particularly well if you’re looking to add a pop of colour to your bedroom or hallway – though it seems like pistachio green kitchens are about to be the hottest twist on the trend.
