Today, pupils across the country are celebrating their GCSE results. We share the results from independent schools across the UK.

• Over two thirds of all GCSE grades at levels 8 and 9 (grades A*)
• Grade 9s made up nearly 40% of all grades (grade A**)
• 86% of grades are level 9-7 (grades A-A*)

• 24% of grades at the top grade 9
• 45% of grades at grade 9-8
• 25% of grades in Maths awarded a 9
• 45% grade 9 in English language and 63% grade 9-8 in English Literature
• 71% of Spanish graded 9-7

• 21% of all examinations taken secured the highest grades of 9-8
• 29% were graded 9-7
• 39% of examinations were graded 9-6 and 62.5% at 9-4

• 45 pupils secured at least nine grade 9s
• 24 gaining an incredible 10, 11 or 12 9s
• 90% of science pupils received a grade 9
• 300 9s achieved in Biology, Chemistry and Physics

• 13% of all grades awarded were a 9
• 30% of grades were at 9-8
• 49% of all grades were at 7, 8 or 9

Holme Grange School, Wokingham

• 100% pass rate in Further Maths, Food Technology, Sciences, Computer Science, DT, Geography, and languages including French, German, and Spanish.
• For BTEC, pupils are celebrating a 100% pass rate, of which 52% achieved a Distinction or higher, and a notable 29% were awarded the prestigious Distinction Star

• 32% of results were at grade 9
• 62% were grades 9/8/A*
• 79% of results were grades 7/A

• Two thirds of this year’s GCSEs awarded at grades 9-7
• One fifth of students achieved nine or more grades 8 or 9
• Seven students received at at least nine grade 9s

Malvern St James Girls’ School, Worcestershire

• Computer Science was 71% of grades 9-7, Maths 50% and Further Maths 67%
• 66% achieving grades 9-7 in Physics, 76% achieving 9-7 in Chemistry and 59% achieving 9-7 in Biology

• 83% of the cohort awarded grades 9 – 6 (A*- B)

• 95% of results are graded 9-4
• 48% graded 9-7 and 46% achieved at least one grade 9

• Several subjects achieved upwards of 90% 9-7 grades
• Almost 20% of the year group achieved straight 9-7 grades across all their subjects
