Phoenix’s mum, Zoe, has spoken about the filming process. She said that voice recording for the animation scenes was one of the most challenging parts of his role. He quickly adapted to the recording process and enjoyed all of it.
Phoenix was amazed by the costumes that were made for him, including pyjamas, a school uniform and cricket outfit which were all bespoke.
A tutor was also on set during filming to help Phoenix keep on track with his school work.
Fellow pupils at Hazlegrove School watched the film’s trailer at their end-of-term Celebration Assembly.
Ed Benbow, Headmaster, commented: ‘We are so proud of Phoenix – it was a privilege for the whole school to watch the trailer together, and we are very much looking forward to watching the film!’
