LOEWE
Tomato Leaves Candle, from £78
Featuring eleven plant essence-based scents including beetroot, oregano and bright tomato leaves, the Spanish label’s new home fragrance range is as diverse and bountiful as the vegetable gardens that inspired them. Creative Director Jonathan Anderson sought to evoke the smells of his childhood, crafting scents that are ‘part Victorian botanical garden, part apothecary’. All come in delightfully tactile, colourful terracotta pots – based on a 5th century Greek mug – with beautifully illustrated packaging.
Jo Malone London
Pastel Macaroons Townhouse Candle, £96
Inspired by six classic scents and moments in a British townhouse (such as the iconic Jo Malone London townhouse), this new collection of scented candles include ‘glowing embers’ and ‘green tomato vine’. But for something really indulgent, opt for the Pastel Macaroons fragrance for a sugary warm almond aroma that is (almost) good enough to eat. The stunning new ceramic casing will look beautiful in your home office or on your dressing table, too.

Our pick is the Peppercorn & Raspberry candle, a fruity scent layered with sweet and savoury notes as well as an undercurrent of florals, berries and peppercorns.
Alexander McQueen
Ghost Flower Candle, £295
Alexander McQueen recently launched a brand new line of candles, made up of three signature scents: Ghost Flower, Pagan Rose and Savage Bloom. Each scent has been created by a different perfumer, who were given an open brief to reinterpret the McQueen codes.
Of the three, it’s Ghost Flower that has caught our eye (or at least, our nose) – think floral notes of fresh freesia and peony with an underlying wave of patchouli. Each candle in the collection has been crafted using a combination of black mineral waxes and rapeseed wax, and are housed in an egg-shaped black lacquered glass with a silver, dark or gold metal lid. Very snazzy.
