Hackett London Unveils Exclusive Collaboration with Artist Tim Yip for Lunar New Year
To celebrate the Lunar New Year, Hackett London has collaborated with multi-disciplinary artist Tim Yip on a design for a limited-edition pocket square.
“I designed this pocket square for the Chinese New Year of Loong (dragon), incorporating my Spiritual DNA drawing with Hackett’s fine printing techniques,’ explained Tim. ‘The term “Spiritual DNA” comes from my previous contemporary art exhibition, Mirror, in 2018, where I wanted to explore the connection between art and science and matter and spirit. The symbology of Loong means that our bodies possess new energy to endlessly create new life over time – a reflection that bridges the gap between spirit and matter. I delve into my experiences with Spiritual DNA through my art.’
The resulting design is printed on 284 Hackett London pocket squares. Eighty-eight of these will be individually signed by Tim and hand-numbered, and a further eight are hand-signed, numbered and framed, and only available for purchase at the brand’s Savile Row, New Bond Street, and Regent Street stores.
Hackett London will also host an exhibition featuring eight sculptures by Tim Yip, including six sculptures at 14 Savile Row, one at Regent Street, and one at New Bond Street. The exhibition will be open from 6 February to 2 March.
Crockett & Jones Launches Two New Styles for SS24
It may still be grey and gloomy, but we’re already thinking ahead to sunnier days. And so is Crockett & Jones, which has just launched two new shoe styles inspired by idea of a summer waterfront: white stone, bobbing boats, swaying masts and blue skies.
The first style, Falmouth, is a warm-weather boat shoe, technically a hybrid ‘Loafer-cum-Derby’, featuring the brand’s new wedge rubber sole.
Bibury, meanwhile, is a new, more relaxed interpretation of The Chukka, the summer style staple that’s traditionally crafted from lightweight, breathable suede.

Dartington Crystal Relaunches Daisy Range
Originally launched in 1975, Dartington Crystal’s Daisy collection of bowls soon became one of the brand’s best-loved ranges.
It was originally designed by Frank Thrower in 1974, and a centrifuge was introduced to Dartington Crystal’s North Devon factory floor in 1975 – a process in which glassmakers expertly spin molten crystal – to produce his signature daisy creation. This innovative technique was synonymous with Scandinavian design and honoured both Dartington Crystal’s Swedish roots and Frank’s signature Scandi-inspired style.
Now, Dartington Crystal is relaunching Daisy, one of four heirloom collections it is reviving this year, in three sizes. It uses the very same original moulds Frank created in the 1970s, which have been in the archives ever since.
Starting from £45, launching 1 March 2024. dartington.co.uk
