The Good Clothes Show London: Everything You Need To Know
What Is The Good Clothes Show?
The Good Clothes Show is a three-day event focusing on fashion with a positive impact. With a spotlight on sustainable, independent and luxury labels, the shopping event also encompasses talks and styling sessions with some of the industry’s most renowned tastemakers.
‘The Good Clothes Show is a celebration of great style,’ says the event’s official website. ‘Great style starts with having the confidence to be yourself and fashion is a fabulous way to proudly express who you are and what truly matters to you. [The event] showcases good fashion with independent brands and individuals who are working hard for a more positive future.’
This summer, The Good Clothes Show returns with a curated luxury shopping event in London.
The Good Clothes Show London: What To Expect
Kicking off at the end of May, The Good Clothes Show’s London edition is a special chapter of the show titled ‘The Season’. The event, which will take place in Chelsea Old Town Hall, is dedicated to British social season, with the focal point being a luxury shopping edit curated by celebrity and occasionwear stylist Sarah Kate Byrne.
Byrne, who is perhaps best known for dressing ITV Racing’s stylish sweetheart Francesca Cumani, has handpicked over 50 fashion, millinery and accessories brands perfect for every event of the season – from parties, picnics and racedays to weddings, holidays and birthdays.
‘”The Season” is a quintessentially British concept that revolves around the magic of the British summer,’ says Byrne. ‘Think strawberries at Wimbledon, fantastic hats at Ascot, charming picnics at Goodwood, and stylish wedding guests. Renowned the world over, summer in England and the whole of the British Isles offers sport, style, memorable days out and now with our London event, the chance to shop sustainably from the very best that sustainable fashion has to offer.’
This edition of the show will also have a special millinery offering, with curation of over 100 hats and headpieces sourced from some of Britain’s best milliners and hatmakers. Located in the Accessories Hall, the exhibition will be open to both ladies and gents – with experts on hand to help with hat pairings, fittings and bespoke designs.
Stuck for styling? Sarah Kate Byrne, alongside experienced personal stylist Sophia Lorimer, will be available throughout the event for one-to-one stylings appointments. (Find out how to book your appointment here.)
A programme of talks is also scheduled to run throughout the weekend, led by yet-to-be-revealed keynote speakers and brands with a shared goal to help us care for our wardrobes and the planet. So far, The Good Clothes Show London has teased appearances from repair specialists, valuers, rental and re-sale platforms and eco laundry experts.
Which Brands Will Be There?
Spanning new to vintage pieces, brand exhibitors at The Good Clothes Show London have been selected based on their quality, design and commitment to sustainability. Byrne’s edit brings together women’s and men’s occasionwear brands that have ethical and sustainable manufacturing processes, as well as contemporary, vintage and luxury pre-loved fashion and accessories.
Some of the brands spotlighted include fashion labels Claire Mischevani, Jane Atelier, Selina Blow, Aspiga and Percy Langley; hatmakers VV Rouleaux, India Rolt, Jess Collett and The Cotswold Milliner; shoe labels Rosamund Muir and Dida Ritchie; and luxury leather accessories brand Tusting.
