These Spas Have Been Crowned The Best In The UK

Looking to kick off your 2024 wellness plans early? If upcoming trends aren’t quite doing it for you this time round, why not book into one of these fantastic UK spas? AA Hotel & Hospitality Services has just unveiled a brand new initiative, the Spa Awards Scheme, to celebrate the best (and help you choose your next wellness retreat).

What Is The AA Spa Awards Scheme?

The Spa Awards Scheme is a new initiative created by AA Hotel & Hospitality Services, designed to help identify the best spas across the country. The scheme, which lists the best 46 spas in the UK, is also comprised of two further lists: the AA Recommended Spas (containing spas that demonstrate a quality spa provision with high standards of customer care and cleanliness) and the AA Best UK Spas (with spas praised for exceptional luxury, signature features and incredible dining and retail offers).

The selection process was overseen by AA inspectors, who assessed a number of spas across the country to find the best wellness experiences in the UK – with a focus on finding the highest quality and rejuvenating hotel retreats.

‘We are thrilled to unveil this scheme, which not only celebrates the best spas in the UK but also benchmarks the industry,’ said Simon Numphud, Managing Director at AA Media. ‘Joining the spa award is an opportunity for hotels to showcase their excellent spa facilities and attract guests seeking the utmost in relaxation and luxury.’

Grantley Hall, North Yorkshire

Eleven London spas made it on the list, including two Four Season locations, with Hampshire and Devon touting the next biggest number of awarded spas with four each. The current AA Spa Hotel of the Year Award sits with South Lodge, an Exclusive Hotel & Spa.
