What we’ll all be wearing next year
You’ve got next season’s wardrobe all sorted. But what about jewellery? Here are the 2024 jewellery trends that have caught our eye – and that we predict will be everywhere next year. Plus, pieces to add to your jewellery box to be ahead of the game.
The Country & Town House Responsible Buyers’ Guide
Jewellery Trends 2024
The top trends in brief:
– Silver
– Outsized florals
– Brooches
– Statement cuffs
– Leather necklaces
– Vintage 80s earrings
1. Silver Is Back
Banished to style purgatory in recent years, silver (and by extension, white gold and platinum too) will be back in a big way in 2024. It’s all part of the Noughties style revival that’s continuing to take over the world. Key pieces for next year will be chunky silver earrings, silver chain necklaces and bracelets, and statement silver cuffs (see below for more on cuffs).

2. Florals for Spring? Groundbreaking
Flower jewellery was big news on the SS24 runways. But not just any florals – and definitely not of the twiddly or twee variety. Go large with statement flower earrings, like we saw on the runway at Tove Studios, or take a leaf from Chanel’s book and wear your corsage on your choker.

3. Brooches are Back
No longer the reserve of granny-chic, brooches are back and plain chic next season. They look fab pinned to the lapels of a trouser suit, or play with the contrasts of pairing one with a heavy knit. You can also wear multiple as a collage, or as one statement piece, like at Carolina Herrera. Bonus points if it’s floral.

4. Cuffing Season Returns
It’s time to ditch the wrist stack, in favour of one statement cuff. Seen at Loewe, Tom Ford and Chloe, these pieces look fab styled with a crisp white shirt, or over a thin ribbed rollneck in the colder weather.

5. Leather Love-In
Leather cord necklaces – sometimes double wrapped, sometimes tied as chokers – will make an instant, easy outfit update next year.

6. Thanks, It’s Vintage
Thanks to the emergence of preloved luxury sites, incredible vintage jewellery is easier to buy than ever. What will be particularly popular in 2024 will be vintage designer clip-on earrings – look out for brands such as Fendi, Chanel and Gucci for a touch of 80s bling.
