Where Was A Good Girl’s Guide To Murder Filmed?

A Good Girl’s Guide To Murder was filmed in Axbridge, a small town in Somerset in southwest England. Axbridge stood in for Little Kilton, which is supposed to be in Buckinghamshire, one of the UK’s home counties close to London. Other filming locations include Redmaids’ High School in Bristol, which stands in for Little Kilton School, and the Redcliffe Caves in Bristol, where A Good Girl’s Guide To Murder’s secret calamity party was filmed.

If you’re certain A Good Girl’s Guide To Murder was actually set in the US when you read it all of those years ago, this isn’t the Mandela effect: in US editions, A Good Girl’s Guide To Murder is set in Fairview, Connecticut instead of the UK.

Can You Visit?

Yes, Axbridge is a real, quaint market town in Somerset, right on the edge of the Mendip Hills and close to the famed town of Cheddar. Around 10 miles northwest of Axbridge is the seaside town of Weston-super-Mare, while Bristol is around 15 miles to the northeast.

Is Little Kilton A Real Village?

No, Little Kilton is not a real village, though author Holly Jackson has shared that the fictional town is based on Great Missenden, a small village nestled in the heart of the Chiltern Hills in Buckinghamshire, best known as the town the children’s author Roald Dahl lived in for 36 years until his death.

Where Is It Streaming?
