We look at how to decorate your home like the professionals with Nina Campbell, Paolo Moschino and Harriet Anstruther.

Nina Campbell makes a dining area using the colour scheme of the other rooms in the house, the brief for this room was to create a cosy dining end to an already existing white, very functional kitchen.

Nina Campbell Dining Room

The colours evolved from other rooms on the ground floor and a piece of china that had been in the family for many years. The table and chairs came from I&JL Brown, the dresser we had commissioned especially, the wallpaper is Montacute from my own collection and the bench against the wall is a Chopin bench from my furniture collection. The room works perfectly for the ever-expanding family that lives here.

Paolo Moschino uses a streamlined approach to update a family home in Holland Park.

Paolo Moschino Living Room

Paolo was briefed to revamp a tired, old- fashioned drawing room for a family. He started by first choosing the fireplace surround and then the colour scheme. His first port of call to source pieces were his stores in London and the Design Centre Chelsea Harbour. The sofa was made bespoke to meet the client’s requirements, and the biggest achievement with this room was creating lots of seating space for a family, without cramming the room.

Harriet Anstruther plays to the architectural strengths of an Edwardian flat in Clapham.

Harriet Anstruther Kitchen

Harriet was asked to modernise and refurbish a one-bedroom flat in Clapham, with the kitchen at the heart of the home, designed to celebrate the traditional Edwardian features. The client’s infectious character found its way into the decoration interlinking traditional and modern elements neatly with humour and surprise. For this project we went to Mint, Maison Artefact, Rockett St George, Twentytwentyone and Brownrigg to name but a few. For me, the success of this project is in the light, flow and flexibility.
