Young musicians from across the region are invited to serenade the first day of Spring with an exciting day of music making at Moreton Hall.
Hosted by North Shropshire music and the Moreton Hall music department, this day-long event is an opportunity for GCSE and A-level musicians to ‘Come and Sing’, collaborating together in a day of choral music making, culminating in an end of event performance for families and friends.
Helen Rayner, Co-founder of North Shropshire Music said: ‘In proud partnership with the Shropshire Music Service, North Shropshire Music announces an exciting day time event: A Youth Come and Sing. The event gives young musicians, instrumentalists and choristers the opportunity to join together across the region through song.’
Coordinator of the event, Eleanor Diack adds: ‘The day event will include eurhythmic, vocal exercises and warmups for all types of voices. Age appropriate songs and repertoire will be explored which will culminate in a short performance at the end of the day to parents, friends and teachers. The day promises to be a great deal of fun which we hope will inspire a life long love for choral singing.’
With young musicians from schools across the region invited, the ‘Come and Sing’ event promises to raise the roof as in celebration of the joy of music making.
