Town Close School is celebrating their 90th anniversary by distributing tree saplings in their community.
This day represented the schools commitment to the community and to the natural environment.
Celebrations involved an afternoon tea for current pupils and families. Followed by a drinks and canapé reception for associates of the school, local producers and suppliers.
Every person attending was invited to choose a tree sapling to plant where they wish in the community.
Looking ahead to the 100th anniversary, those who attended were asked to write down on a paper leaf their hopes and aspirations for the next 10 years of the school. These were all added to a ‘Wishing Tree’.
