Read more about William and his achievements below:
William is a shining example of a Shirburnian who has made the most of all that Sherborne has to offer as he is always keen to get ‘stuck in’.
William is recognised as a key member of the Sherborne community and for his many achievements has recently been made Head of School, a well-deserved honour.
In the Fourth Form William showed great determination and grit to complete the Ten Tors challenge. On the final training weekend, unfortunately, he was forbidden to walk due to his blisters, to allow them to heal, as he was so determined to carry on. This determination earned him his place in the team. William went on to complete the challenge a few weeks later.
William’s passion for Co-curricular activities has seen him excel to incredible heights within the CCF. He was the first-ever Cadet from Sherborne School to be a Master Cadet, William is our Cadet RSM (Head Boy) and Her Majesty’s Lord Lieutenant’s Cadet for Dorset.
On a recent trip to Canada with the Cadet Force, William impressed the military staff to such a level that he was asked back the following year to be a junior member of staff – sadly Covid-19 got in the way. William has been involved in helping the younger Cadets in the CCF and more recently in introducing the CCF to Sherborne Girls.
William is a true Shirburnian and will be a credit to the School as he fulfils his latest role as Head of School.
