Wells Cathedral Teacher Elected on ISRSA Council

The Head of Religion, Philosophy and Ethics at Wells Cathedral School, Mr Brian Poxon, has been nominated into the National Council of the Independent Schools Religious Studies Association (ISRSA).

The ISRSA supports teachers, hosts conferences and conducts subject research.
Mr Poxon has worked in RPE for nearly 25 years in the UK and Australia, and has published A-level revision guides.
As part of the ISRSA, Mr Poxon will help draw up plans to keep religious education relevant and rigorous in the 21st century.
Mr Poxon said: ‘Understanding people for whom religion offers a central shaping framework for life is important, even if that is not the case for oneself. My nomination means that I can contribute to this conversation.’
