The Curriculum

Prior’s Field offers a broad education which goes beyond the National Curriculum: we place a strong emphasis on independent learning, creativity and problem solving. Supporting and extending the curriculum are individual music lessons, LAMDA and sports coaching.

Games & The Arts

Often heralded as the best in the region, we offer superb co-curricular provision. Our Sport, Music, Drama and Art in particular are all great strengths of the school and we have a vibrant and extensive after school clubs programme to allow our students to develop their passions.

Pastoral Care

At the heart of the Prior’s Field community, is our pastoral care provision reflecting our core values of Admiration, Hope and Love. Every girl is known and supported by our expert pastoral staff including Wellbeing Coordinators, Counsellors, ELSAs, Life Coach as well as Heads of Years and Tutors.

University Places

Leavers head off to an extensive range of Russell Group university destinations, performing arts schools and other further education institutions.

Head Teacher’s Philosophy

To create a happy and relaxed environment that supports individual success in all fields of endeavour, allowing every individual to fulfil their potential through an outstanding all-round education. We celebrate achievement, ambition and creativity in a culture of admiration, hope and love. Girls become bold and brilliant women, determined to make their mark on the modern world.

 Outstanding Characteristics

A school where, unlike many schools, high achievement is not accompanied by high anxiety. Where ambition and desire to improve is not hidden. We make a bigger difference, with exceptional added-value at GCSE and A Level, in the top percentages in the country.

The co-curricular offering is exceptional, with the pupils’ creative output outstanding and always referenced in reviews.
