David Beckham Opens London Fashion Week
Friday 7 June marks the start of LFW June 2024, a three-day celebration of menswear that’s also the event’s 40th anniversary. Kicking off (pun intended) proceedings was David Beckham, Ambassadorial President of LFW, who spoke about the importance of fashion to business in the UK, and the continued impact and influence of British designers on the global industry.
‘Menswear fashion here in the UK is like no other; through my work with the BFC I have had the opportunity to work on BFC initiatives with some of the amazing designers who are leading the way when it comes to innovation in menswear design – Foday from Labrum London, Nicholas Daley and Priya Ahluwalia are just a few names that come to mind,’ said David.
‘The pipeline of talent to the industry is vital to its success, so please get involved and support the designers activating across the weekend.’

Neal’s Yard Remedies and Bella Freud Collaborate for Save The Bees
Organic beauty brand Neal’s Yard – and its owner and CEO, Anabel Kindersley – have long taken action to protect pollinators in this country, by campaigning to ban bee-harming pesticides, and donating to bee charities through its Bee Lovely range. Now, the brand has teamed up with designer Bella Freud to launch a limited-edition T-shirt, with all profits donated to bee conservation and nature-friendly farming initiatives.
‘Standing together to make change happen is vital in the fight to protect our pollinators,’ says Anabel. ‘So we’re thrilled to reignite our collaboration with fellow nature activist, Bella Freud, with the relaunch of our much-loved Save the Bees t-shirt, this time in a sunshine yellow.’
