The Macallan Launches Oldest Whisky to Date

For its ongoing 200th anniversary celebrations, The Macallan is releasing its oldest whisky ever, at 84 years old, as part of its new TIME : SPACE Collection.

It’s bottled in a striking dual vessel, alongside the very first whisky from the brand’s new distillery, which was distilled in 2018 and bottled at five years old. Together, they make a striking collectors’ item that’s an apt celebration of The Macallan’s long history, as well as its exciting present.

The TIME : SPACE Collection is also super limited-edition, with just 200 bottles made, one for each of the years the distillery has been operating.

Pooky Teams Up with Morris & Co

Everyone’s favourite lampshade brand just got even more desirable. Pooky has teamed up with Morris & Co, home of beloved textile designer William Morris, on a new capsule collection.

It features prints found in the largely untouched interior of Emery Walker’s house in Hammersmith. A printer and typographer, Walker’s home is full of original wallpapers and fabrics designed by his great friend William Morris.

They’ve been brought to life by Pooky through a mix of hand-block printed card (made with the same technique that William Morris used) and plain, gathered and scalloped cotton shades, with each handmade piece designed to allow the prints to shine.

Mulberry and Rejina Pyo Unveil New Collaboration

Another exciting collaboration for autumn is the new partnership between Mulberry and Rejina Pyo, two British brands at the forefront of the UK fashion industry. The resulting collection comprises bags, accessories, ready-to-wear and jewellery, all made using Mulberry’s signature craftsmanship, and featuring Rejina’s distinctive modern flair.

Taking inspiration from both past and present Mulberry designs, bags include a reworked version of the archival Blenheim style, its roomy exterior pockets stripped back, and the knotted closure borrowed from Pyo’s own collections. An understated Top Handle Crossbody sees the designer draw inspiration from the Clovelly bag family.

In line with Mulberry’s approach to responsible sourcing across its collections, all leather used is carbon neutral – achieved through offsetting with the World Land Trust – and sourced from environmentally accredited tanneries.

In addition to the leather goods, Pyo has designed a tight ready-to-wear edit featuring a gently oversized, camel trend coat, crafted in organic cotton, a belted suit in a heritage-check responsibly sourced wool, and a draped knit top in autumn leaf green alpaca-blend.

‘When I collaborate with someone, it’s important for me to consider what they value, what they bring to the world, and how they treat people,’ says the designer. ‘[Mulberry’s] timeless design and Made to Last ethos really resonated with me. Mulberry creates pieces you want to cherish and treasure for a long time, it’s that essence that I always aim to imbue in my own brand.’
