Awards season has only just begun for the British pop star

Forget Brat summer, it’s been a full on Brat year. And the theme only continues this awards season, with Charli XCX scooping up accolades left and right for her sixth studio album (and its chart-topping singles) Brat. The latest? A successful stint at the 2025 GRAMMYs, where Charli XCX made waves on the awards stage (and the red carpet).

Charli XCX’s GRAMMY’s Outfit Pulls On Archival Jean Paul Gaultier

Neon green may have been the (un)official uniform of Brat summer, but Charli XCX shucked the signature hue in favour of a more regal grey-toned gown at last night’s GRAMMYs ceremony. The British pop star bagged three awards – including Best Dance/Electronic Album – and continued to turn heads with her statement red carpet look.

Stepping out in a custom design courtesy of Jean Paul Gaultier, the singer wore a grey, floor-length gown – but it was no means a ‘safe’ option. Keeping her signature edge, Charli XCX wore the dress with a thigh-high slit at the front, as well as a cascade of dishevelled ruffles at the skirt and upper bodice, broken up by a sleekly structured corset.

The look also tapped into one of 2025’s biggest revival trends: boho. Defined by fluttering silhouettes and free-spirited style rules (anything goes here), it seems a natural progression for the singer’s personal style – on-trend, but very much marching to the beat of her own drum. (And while the ruffles alone might not have been enough to convince us, the addition of gladiator-esque knee-high heeled sandals has us convinced that this era of Brat is all about boho grunge.)

Curated by stylist Chris Horan, who has also previously worked with Christina Aguilera, the outfit was teamed up with pieces from Bucherer Fine Jewellery’s Inner Fire and Baguette Love collections. Her hair and beauty look, meanwhile, was comprised of sleek waves styled with a middle part, bold brows and a smoky eye.

This is only the start of what is shaping up to be a rather successful awards season for the pop star, who currently leads the 2025 BRIT Awards with five nominations. More on what to expect home side here.

Awards Highlights

Away from the red carpet, 2025 GRAMMYs highlights included BeyoncĂ©’s awards for Album of the Year (her first accolade in this category) and Best Country Album (making her the first Black artist to win this category) for Cowboy Carter, Kendrick Lamar’s five award wins (including Record of the Year and Song of the Year for ‘Not Like Us’) and The Beatles’ historic win of Best Rock Performance for the AI-assisted ‘Now and Then’. Breakthrough musician Chappell Roan also bagged Best New Artist, delivering a galvanising speech onstage during her acceptance window.

There were also performances from Charli XCX and Sabrina Carpenter, as well as a surprise performance from The Weeknd (four years since he boycotted the GRAMMYs).

An emotional tribute to the late Liam Payne also took place, celebrating his contributions to music.
