Spring has finally sprung in London – and how better to celebrate the new season than a trip to Chelsea Flower Show? Kicking off on 21 May this year, the show is the city’s biggest celebration of garden design. Attended by the public, celebrities and royals alike, this is an event that calls for dressing up. But where to start? We’ve teamed up with eBay to bring you an edit of the best pre-loved finds to wear to Chelsea Flower Show.

The Floral Dress
Florals? For spring? It might not be groundbreaking, but it certainly fits the theme of Chelsea Flower Show. Florals prints can be worn and styled however you like, but – thanks to the unpredictable weather we get each year – you might want to stick to long sleeves and hemlines.
The Luxury Trainer
While sandals and heels might look pretty, they aren’t the most practical addition to a Chelsea Flower Show outfit. You’re likely to be on your feet for hours – if not all day – during your visit, meaning you’ll need a pair of comfy shoes on your feet. But not to worry, you won’t have to compromise on style with a pair of luxury trainers; these branded beauties can do the same job as your favourite heels, and then some.
The Rain Jacket
And, when it (inevitably) rains, you’ll want some kind of cover to keep you dry and warm. The style set’s version of the classic rain jacket swaps the neon colour palette for countrified shades of brown, khaki and forest green – perfect for exploring the blooms and landscapes (while avoiding the effects of the weather).
The Tea Dress
If, by some miracle, we do have some sun this May, you might want to up the ante (and your hemline, by at least a few inches). Tea dresses sit perfectly within the smart casual dress code of Chelsea Flower Show, and can be dressed up or down with layers depending on the weather. Floral prints aren’t essential here, but they are no doubt a bonus.
Spring Sunnies
Whether worn on your head or smuggled into your handbag, a pair of sunglasses is good to have on hand in case of some rare British sun. This season, we’re seeing a trend for vintage silhouettes, neutral colour palettes and mottled textures – classic styles that you can wear long after the Chelsea Flower Show comes to a close.
