The Scandi style set has spoken
Did you catch the highlights from Copenhagen Fashion Week? No? Well, you’ve come to the right place. If you’re craving the latest trends from the runway, you’ve come to the right place – these are the five major trends we spotted at Copenhagen Fashion Week AW25.
The Top Trends At Copenhagen Fashion Week AW25
1. Sequin Florals
Scandi designers prove once again that florals aren’t just for spring. And this season, they’re getting a metallic makeover. Teamed up with sheer overlays and embroidered detailing, these winter florals – clusters of roses, vines and petals – come covered in sequins.
2. Power Suiting
RTO is in full force on the runway, it seems. Scandi designers come hot on the heels of last year’s office siren takeover with a more gender neutral, tailored take on workday dressing. Think padded shoulders, hourglass silhouettes, embellished shirting and a moody winter colour palette.
3. Under-Arm Moment
The stand out accessory on the CPHFW runway? The super-sized, under-arm handbag. Clutched tightly under the arm (and held against the waist or hip), these bags act as the finishing touch to an otherwise neutral outfit; these are the playful pops of colour, the contrasting textures and breakaway prints that make or break a look.
4. Sheer Show
Sheer fashion will never go out of style – at least, according to the runway. Copenhagen collections were awash with sheer accents this season, with designers taking gauzy materials up a level with embroidery, lace, sequins and ruching.
5. Plaid Pop
Country punk has entered the chat. If leopard print was the talk of SS25, plaid is the talk of the runway for AW25. But this is plaid with an edge; bright, bold colours, rough hems, sequined surfaces and borderless silhouettes.
