Can't make it to the shows? Thankfully, there's more to London Fashion Week than the runway – just take these events as your proof

With London Fashion Week now officially back in the UK capital, you might be wondering: can I go? While most of the shows are under a strict invite-only policy, they’re not the only activation taking place over the week. There are plenty of public events taking place, with pop-ups, shopping hubs, panel discussions and more celebrating the vibrancy of London Fashion Week.

A Guide To London Fashion Week AW25

When Is London Fashion Week?

London Fashion Week comes to the capital twice a year: in February and September. The upcoming celebrations will spotlight AW25 creations, and take place from 20 to 24 February 2025.

What Is The City Wide Celebration?

Overseen by the British Fashion Council (BFC), the City Wide Celebration is a curated programme of unique experiences and activations open to the public throughout February.

These events, which span pop-ups, panel discussions, workshops and live music, run alongside London Fashion Week and help promote retail across the UK. (In previous years, celebrations have expanded outside London to include other British cities like Manchester and Newcastle.)

‘Each season, the impact of LFW can be seen across the capital through the City Wide Celebration,’ said Caroline Rush CBE, Chief Executive, of the British Fashion Council. ‘We are committed to championing retail in the UK and are proud to see LFW continue to lead the way by opening its doors to consumers and fostering connections between brands, retailers and customers.’

You can find the full City Wide Celebration schedule here, and our highlights below:

Dame Mary Quant Tribute At The Jumeirah Carlton Tower

Step into the Swinging Sixties over at Jumeirah Carlton Tower, which has unveiled a tribute to British designer Dame Mary Quant (who famously hosted photoshoots, press days, and collection launches at the then-new hotel). Starting in the lobby, where a vintage Mary Quant dress takes centre stage alongside a vibrant floral installation by Moyses Stevens, the fun continues in the restaurant and bar, where the chefs have whipped up a one-of-a-kind, limited-edition dessert and cocktail. Dressed in chocolate flowers , the dessert is comprised of vanilla and tonka, almond sponge and exotic fruit cream, while the cocktail takes its cues from the purple and orange design of Quant’s dress – combining champagne, blue pea tea cordial, Crème De Violette, King’s Ginger liqueur, British N3 Gin, lemon juice and vegan foamer into a zingy concoction.

When: Monday 3 February until Friday 28 February 2025
