A New Asteroid City Pop-Up Has Landed In London

Any Wes Anderson fans in London? Now’s your chance to immerse yourself in the world of film (and bath bombs, of course), thanks to a new pop-up bringing together Lush and the filmmaker’s latest feature, Asteroid City.

A New Asteroid City Pop-Up Has Landed In London

If it’s not TikTok trends and immersive experiences, Wes Anderson is taking over London with on-theme pop-up stores in celebration of his latest film Asteroid City. Joining the party this time is UK beauty brand Lush, which has teamed up with Focus Features to bring a new gift shop to its Soho studio – now transformed into a pastel-coloured cafe befitting any Anderson title.

What Will The Lush x Asteroid City Pop-Up Be Like?

The gift shop, which will be open for five weeks from 8 June 2023, will be a celebration of the world of Wes Anderson with special focus on Asteroid City. The space itself resembles a pastel-coloured cafe, with servers at the tiled bar serving up free slushies for visitors. Cue the photo ops.

Visitors will also be able to shop the new limited edition Lush x Asteroid City collection a week before it launches anywhere else.

What’s Included In Lush x Asteroid City Collection?

Made up of four limited edition items, the collection is consists of a new Asteroid City-themed bath bomb, soap, shower jelly and shower gel. Lush’s iconic Space Girl fragrance has been pulled out of the archives to scent the Asteroid Bath Bomb and Asteroid City Shower Gel, while the Doomsday Soap (inspired by the desert from the film) will have a sweet and fruity scent and the UFO Shower Jelly (saucer-shaped, of course) will have a citrus scent with notes of lime and neroli oil.

‘The vibrant aesthetic of Wes Anderson’s Asteroid City really inspired us to create a fun, nostalgic range of products packed full of benefit-led ingredients like exfoliating sand and cooling aloe vera,’ said Melody Morton, Lush Concepts Creative Director. ‘We loved that we could bring back our Space Girl fragrance as this is a fan favourite and it fits so well with the storytelling of the movie.’

The Lush x Asteroid City collection will be available in selected UK stores and online from Friday 16 June 2023.

Will The Collection Be Available In The US?

While the pop-up is exclusive to London, some Lush stores in the US will be selling the Ateroid City collection throughout this period. ‘This is a very limited exclusive range that will only be available for a short period,’ said Melody. ‘However, we will have our Vegas location selling this product exclusively for 12 months. It will be worth a visit!’

How Long Will The Pop-Up Be Open For?

The Lush x Asteroid City pop-up in London will be open from 8 June until 12 July 2023.
