What Is The Beetlejuice Lips Challenge?

As mentioned, the Beetlejuice lips challenge is a beauty trend stemming from TikTok that sees creators recreate a quirky makeup look inspired by Beetlejuice’s iconic striped suit. Achieved using a two-tone cracked effect lipstick, the trend was kicked off by Adrianna Kalisz (@_hello_adri) – who, in turn, took inspiration from Portuguese beauty designer Luara Resisinger‘s ‘zebra lips’ look.

Since then, the challenge has gone viral – with big-name beauty creators like Nikkietutorials and Sydney Purl putting their stamp on the look. While the results look impressively intricate, it’s actually fairly simple to recreate Beetlejuice lips. We asked Grace to share her step-by-step guide to getting the look at home:

1. To start, all you need is a bright green eye paint or lipstick. Spread evenly on your lips and wait for it to fully dry.
2. Then purse your lips and add a good amount of black powder eyeshadow on top. This will create that wrinkle-y, stripey effect on your lips.
3. Relax your lips and smile and reveal the spooky print.
