The cure for seasonally fatigued skin? It has to be this serum-cream duo
Our skin goes through a lot of stress – especially during the change in seasons, when the British weather can’t seem to make up it’s mind. But rather than let the change in climate get the best of her, Charlie Colville turns to FILORGA’s new NCEF Revlitalize Serum and Cream. Promising glowing, smooth skin in just a few days, she’s ready to see how this French label will change up her routine.

We Tried FILORGA’s NCEF Revlitalize Serum & Cream
In the world of French aesthetic medicine, none are doing it quite like Laboratoires FILORGA. Having been in business since 1978, when founder Dr. Michel Tordjman set up shop in Paris, the brand has become a leader in anti-aging cosmetic treatments.
It’s skincare lines similarly uphold this level of prestige. The brand combines its medical expertise with state-of-the-art skincare solutions – promising visible results in just seven days. It’s a bold claim, one we’re excited to put to the test with the FILORGA’s latest NCEF Revitalize line.
What Is NCEF?
NCEF, standing for ‘New Cellular Encapsulated Factors’, is a unique technology that has been developed by FILORGA for its skincare lines.
Inspired by the techniques used in aesthetic medicine, the complex combines a powerful formula with an effective encapsulation technique – gradually diffusing hyaluronic acid and essential nutrients used in injections (mainly amino acids, vitamins, co-enzymes, minerals and antioxidants) into the skin. These skincare ingredients are encapsulated in micro vectors, known as chronospheres.
With NCEF, FILORGA aims to reduce the signs of aging by activating the skin’s cell mechanisms. In other words, it encourages your skin to do the work for you. And, being a technique exclusive to FILORGA , it’s no wonder the brand’s NCEF skincare lines rapidly fly off the shelves when a new product drops. And the new product – or products, we should say – comes courtesy of FILORGA’s NCEF Revitalize range.
NCEF Revitalize Serum
Designed to be as effective as a revitalising injection protocol (thank you, NCEF), FILORGA’s new serum helps to smooth, even and brighten the skin’s complexion. It contains 10 ingredients commonly used in meso-injections, which are designed to rejuvenate the skin from within. This makes it a key player in tackling the signs of aging, as it improves the appearance of dull, dehydrated skin and fine lines.
It also targets the three primary physiological processes involved in cell aging: cell energy, cell balance and cell communication. Stimulating the cellular metabolism, it inadvertently maximises the effectiveness of other skincare products – which means you get all the benefits of the serum, plus a boost to any creams applied afterwards.
NCEF Revitalize Cream
The cream we’ll be applying, however, also comes from the NCEF line. It’s also inspired by the latest anti-aging meso-injections and, along with the NCEF complex, contains five different tripeptides known to enhance skin tone and improve the density and structure of collagen fibres.
It’s also fast-working. FILORGA reports that, with regular used of the NCEF Revitalize Cream, skin appears smoother, more toned and radiant in just seven days.
What We Thought
It almost sounds too good to be true – and it had all the more excited to test out FILORGA’s NCEF Revitalize Serum and Cream. Having been a victim of London weather’s (literally) hot-and-cold treatment for the better part of a month, my skin has been craving something that both soothes and protects. A glowing, healthy finish wouldn’t hurt, either.
Using The Serum & Cream
FILORGA recommends using its NCEF products together – first the serum, and then the cream – to get the best results. And I can see why; they’re the perfect complement to each other.
The first thing I notice when opening both the serum and cream is just how good they smell. Not just a crisp and clean – more like a spa. It’s pretty tempting to keep slathering on both products so that you can get a better whiff, but I abstain and crack on with applying the serum and cream to my skin.
First, there’s the NCEF Revitalize serum. Aside from the sweet smell, I immediately notice that this is a super lightweight formula. It seeps into my skin in no time – without provoking a flare up from my usually-sensitive skin – and leaves a light, luminous sheen. It also provides the perfect dewy base for the next step in my routine.
The NCEF Revitalize Cream similarly smells heavenly, and glides onto my skin in smooth sweeps. An instant moisture kick is balanced with a non-greasy, non-sticky finish, and ups the glow previously laid down by the serum.
Having first applied both products in the evening, I let them sit overnight. And when I wake up in the morning, it’s to smooth, plump and dewy skin. It’s a small (but instant) glow up, but the noticeability of it is what makes me most excited. If I were to sum it up, my skin looks like it’s had a good drink of water. My complexion looks and feels clearer, as well as lighter, and any lingering dry skin has been tamped down.
The feeling lasts well into the week, when I continue applying the serum and cream in the mornings and evenings. My skin appears much brighter, and it feels smoother to the touch. Like I’ve recently had a really good facial. It’s a good sign for what’s to come with continues use.
Future Expectations
Being that FILORGA’s NCEF products are designed to have an effectiveness comparable to the products used in aesthetic clinics, it makes sense that results come on pretty quickly. In just the short amount of time I’ve been using the new serum and cream, I’ve noticed an instant luminosity and hydration boost.
Over the next 28 days, I can also expect to see improvements in the following:
- Skin elasticity
- Firmness
- Skin protection
In other words, the best is yet to come. Watch this space.
