And now, with their birthday coming up, we imagine they’re busy planning the perfect mani to celebrate. Here’s how Sagittarius will be changing up their nails.
How To Tap Into The Sagittarius Aesthetic
Represented by the archer, Sagittarius is known for its adventurous, freedom-loving personality. You’ll find this sign full of optimism, with their ruling planet Jupiter giving them a ‘glass half full’ approach to life. And, being a fire sign, they can become pretty passionate about the topics, causes and people they love – bringing great energy to the table with their boundless enthusiasm.
These traits also pop up in their personal style. A Sagittarius will seek out bold and playful items, usually in an eclectic mix of styles and colours. Create The Look: Sagittarius Nails
The number one rule with any Sagittarius? There are no rules. This sign’s goal is to have fun and explore the unexplored. This means no nail art is too bold or colourful to try. So while they might be happy going down the typical stars and constellations route, they’ll also crave something a little more exciting. Think 3D accents, pops of colour and light-catching textures.

Big On Colour
No colour is too bright for a Sagittarius, but there are some that will stand out for them as go-to shades. ‘To channel Sag energy, go for a mani that celebrates celestial bold shades like deep purple, cosmic blue and fiery orange,’ recommends Tinu. She also recommends avoiding colourless, heavy colours like black or grey, as well as soft (read: too subdued) pastel hues.

Accent Nail
This sign will also be up for experimenting when it comes to their mani. Tinu’s solution? A bold accent nail. ‘I love an accent nail,’ she says. ‘And for any Sagittarius, I would recommend an archer’s bow and arrow in metallic gold or silver. If you’re doing the mani yourself at home and don’t feel as confident with nail art, try adding tiny constellations or shooting stars as nail art details. You can easily create this look with stickers.’
Glitter & Sparkle
And speaking of the stars – why not steal their shine? ‘Glitter accents and holographic polish can also resemble stardust, and geometric shapes in your nail art can resemble the Sag’s love of travel and adventure,’ says Tinu. ‘You can also make the look more bespoke, with hints to Sagittarius’ birthstones – turquoise and topaz – adorned as gems for a luxe finish.’
