The Jellycat NYC Diner Has Just Unveiled A New Breakfast Menu

It’s the pop-up that started it all. When Jellycat opened the doors to its NYC Diner pop-up back in September 2023, the soft toy company was blown away by the hugely positive response. Now, one year and another three global pop-ups later, Jellycat is still serving up adorable plushies to the people of New York. And the experience shows no signs of slowing down, recently unveiling a brand new breakfast menu (with more Jellycat exclusives).

What To Expect From The Jellycat Diner Pop-Up In NYC

As mentioned, the NYC Diner was the first Jellycat global pop-up – and the one that solidified the brand’s viral status on TikTok. Located in the Big Apple’s most beloved toy store, FAO Schwarz, the experience is crafted around the classic American diner. Think large, light-up signs, checkerboard floors (splashed in Jellycat’s signature blue) and a dedicated counter and kitchen where all the magic happens.

It was the theatricality sported by the team of Jellycat ‘chefs’ that caught the attention (and hearts) of the internet. After choosing a set meal from the menu board, visitors are treated to a live display where the team ‘cook’ and ‘prepare’ their tasty treats for takeaway.

Which Jellycat Plushies Are At The NYC Diner Pop-Up?

Taking inspiration from New York City’s most-loved foods, the Diner started out with a curated selection of Amuseables. These included:

• Amuseables Pizza
• Amuseables Hotdog
• Amuseables Burger
• Amuseables Taco

The team are still in situ, but in September 2024 they were joined by three new exclusive plushies. Modelled after American breakfast favourites, the new menu features:

• Amuseables Fran Pancakes: A stack of pancakes topped with syrup and blueberries
• Amuseables Rene Waffle: A pressed waffle with butter and a strawberry
• Amuseables Bagel: A salmon and cream cheese bagel

How Much?

Diner experience purchases come complete with a diner-themed set, which includes:

• A Jellycat Amuseables plush food item of the guest’s choice
• An exclusive enamel pin
• An exclusive sticker sheet
• Gift packaging with a personalized sticker
• A reusable tote bag

Sets including an Amuseables Bagel, Pizza or Hot Dog are priced at $50, while the new breakfast item sets – Amuseables Rene Waffle and Fran Pancakes – and the Amuseables Burger are $55. Jellycat plushies can also be purchased separately in-store.

How Long Is It Running?

Good news for Jellycat fans, the Diner is expected to stay open at FAO Schwarz New York indefinitely.

Can You Buy The Jellycat Diner Plushies Online?

Many of the Diner Amuseables are available to shop online – with the only exceptions being the new breakfast menu. Amuseables Bagel is exclusive to US shoppers, while Amuseables Fran Pancakes and Amuseables Rene Waffle can only be found in the Jellycat Diner. jellycat.com
