Jellycat’s Fish & Chips Collection Is Now Available Outside London

Following the grand opening of its Fish & Chips pop-up in London, Jellycat is bringing its exclusive Amuseables collection to Birmingham and Manchester this spring.
Jellycat fans, your time has come – the soft toy company is taking its legendary Fish & Chips collection outside the capital (with a flourish of salt and vinegar). Here’s everything you need to know.
Jellycat Fish & Chips Is Coming To Birmingham & Manchester
When Jellycat opened the doors to a series of global pop-up activations last year to celebrate its 25th anniversary, it was to enthusiastic fanfare. New York got its Diner, Paris its Patisserie and Shanghai its Café. London, meanwhile, played host to a very special activation: a Fish & Chips van.
Setting up shop in summer, the pop-up was only meant to be a temporary experience – but its popularity has propelled it to remain a mainstay at Jellycat’s Selfridges London outpost. And with demand still high, the brand has taken the decision to take the Fish & Chips collection on the road to stores in Birmingham and Manchester. Shoppers in these areas can now take home some of the pop-up’s key characters, including:
- Lily Fish: a battered cod
- Cosy Chips: a portion of chips wrapped in newspaper
- Dot and Peg Mushy Peas: a duo of fluffy peas
- Charlie Chip: a flat capped chip
- Clemont Lemon: a lemon wedge
- Vinny Vinegar: a bottle of vinegar
- Salty Steve: a smiley salt shaker

Which Jellycat Stores Will Have The Fish & Chips Collection?
Jellycat rolled out its Fish & Chips characters in the following stores earlier in February:
- Selfridges Birmingham: Level 1 at Selfridges, The Bullring, Upper Mall East, Birmingham B5 4BP
- Selfridges Manchester Trafford: Upper Level, Selfridges, 60 The Trafford Centre, Trafford Park, Stretford, Manchester, M17 8DA
- Selfridges Manchester Exchange Square: Selfridges, 1 Exchange Square Central, Manchester, M3 1BD
To coincide with the new launch, Selfridges Manchester Exchange Square also opened a new Jellycat General Store outpost. ‘We’re thrilled to welcome the Jellycat General Store,’ said Jane Sharrocks, Store Director at Selfridges Manchester Exchange Square. ‘We know our customers are huge Jellycat fans so we can’t wait to bring this iconic destination to our store. This launch means that our customers can purchase the characters from the exclusive Fish & Chips collection for the first time outside of Selfridges London which is so exciting. With so many Jellycat favourites, it’s going to be hard to choose which ones to take home!’

Will The Pop-Up Come To Other UK Stores?
While you can now get your hands on the full Fish & Chips collection at other UK-based Selfridges locations, the full Fish & Chip Van experience will sadly only be available at Selfridges London. This means that the staffed van, special packaging and stickers will remain a London exclusive. Find out what to expect (and how to plan your visit) here.
But non-London shoppers can still expect some beachfront magic; the Fish & Chips characters will be set up at various Jellycat General Stores with their own dedicated display, and life-size renditions of Cosy Chips, Charlie Chip and Chip Seagull will be appearing at various stores for the perfect photo opportunity.
