What To Expect From The Jellycat General Store Pop-Up In Manchester
The Jellycat empire marches north this festive season, with the arrival of the Manchester General Store. The third concept store to land in the UK, it follows in the footsteps of London’s Fish & Chip Shop and Birmingham’s own General Store.
Inspired by nostalgic shopping experiences in vintage supermarkets, the General Store comes kitted out with counters and shelves (in Jellycat’s signature blue), as well as a window display featuring retro-inspired Jellycat tins. For those looking for a photo op, slide along to the pop-up bright blue bench, where a familiar character is waiting to be squished and papped.

And to celebrate the festive season, the Manchester Trafford pop-up has a surprise in store for visitors: a life-size Amuseables Peanut Reindeer, ready to greet guests on their way in.
‘We’re delighted to welcome the new Jellycat General Store to Selfridges Trafford,’ said Vicki Cain, Store Director at Selfridges Manchester Trafford. ‘It’s a fun destination for customers to explore the Jellycat collection, with so many fabulous creations to choose from. Who could resist cuddling up to one of the giant Jellies? Our customers are huge fans of Jellycat, so this new opening is perfectly timed for those starting their Christmas shopping.’
